How do you get the most out of your engagement photo shoot? A little research ahead of time can go a long way! We want to help give you some ideas to get you ready to go into your engagement photography session with full confidence! Here are five different cute engagement photo ideas for your upcoming engagement session.
1. Flash the Bling
After getting the engagement ring, who doesn’t want to show it off a little!? Go ahead and flash that bling to the camera; it might just be the most fun thing about getting engaged! 🙂
2. Classic Portraits
Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose! A great portrait is timeless. These photos show the true you and age well, so you can be sure to cherish these photos for years to come.
3. Playful
Maybe your fiance picks you up, or you try lifting your fiance! See if anyone can drop your dog off for a few photos! Shake a bottle of champagne and open it! Go ahead and have some fun during your engagement photo shoot, you deserve it! Your engagement photographer wants to capture some unique photographs that show you and your partner’s fun personality, so it doesn’t hurt to bring some of your own props or playful engagement photo ideas.
4. After Dark
Use natural elements and lighting to your advantage. If you get into a situation where the sun’s going down, take some moody nighttime silhouette pictures! If your engagement photo session happens to be around the evening golden hour (the time shortly before sunset when the sun is about to set), take advantage of what mother nature brings you! (Your photographer will also thank you if you’re able to sneak away from your wedding reception for a few photos around the golden hour!)
The Proposal
Of course, you’d need to be sure to hire a photographer for the ACTUAL proposal to capture these in-action photos. If you or future fiancĂ© can get a photographer or videographer booked for the moment you say “yes,” you won’t regret it! (See a proposal video example of the couple pictured below!
In case you did miss it though, a cute idea is to reenact it during the engagement photo shoot!
