Christine and Brendan’s Longboat Key Club sophisticated seaside wedding took place in January 2023 at the iconic Florida Opal Collection Resort. Upscale details, mixed with the Florida coastline made for a modern tropical wedding celebration that felt whimsical!

Pre-Wedding Moments
Being a beach wedding, this couple’s vibe was low-key with stunning elements, which made the day special and pulled everyone into the moment. Instead of stressing and running around, Brendan enjoyed time with family on the Longboat Key Club’s breathtaking grounds. Additionally, other pre-ceremony tranquil moments included Christine and her bridesmaids toasting with champagne during their glam sessions, while the little ones in the wedding party opened their special gifts.
The Ceremony
Ceremony ready, Christine wore a beautifully beaded corset wedding gown and paired it with rhinestone sandals. Brendan donned dark khaki chinos and a white button-up. Christine’s first look with her father overlooking the intracoastal was picturesque as the sun began to set and they made their way to their walk to the South Beach ceremony site.
In addition to a shoe valet for the guests before heading to the ceremony, the ceremony was also decorated with a white arch with white roses, which framed the water behind the bride and groom. After their Longboat Key beach ceremony concluded, Christine and Brendan enjoyed photos with their family and one epic group shot with all 84 of their wedding guests. Next came sunset photos for the newlyweds before being introduced at their wedding reception.
The Reception
Longboat Key Club Resorts’ Spike ‘n’ Tees outdoor patio was the setting for the newlywed couple’s first dance and dinner as husband and wife. Chinese lanterns glowed overhead, gold and salmon hues sparkled under Complete’s uplighting which framed the event space! Guests sat at tables named after destinations the bride and groom visited, each table sign included a special memory.
After dinner, guests were treated to wedding cake and an ice cream bar with tons of topping options! The newlywed shoe game was definitely a wedding reception highlight, yet everyone truly came to dance!
