1. Back-up Plan a.k.a. Rainy Plan

If any part of your wedding is outside, have a backup plan in the event of it being rained out. Many venues are adaptable and have a location indoors. If they don’t, check out outdoor tent rentals to keep everyone dry!

2. Umbrellas

Buy a LOT of them. Have enough for your bridal party and those involved, as well as a few extras! Clear umbrellas make for a fun photo prop as well (side bonus)!

3. Inform Guests

Be sure to inform all wedding guests so that they can be prepared for rain. This may affect their attire and will help them be prepared for rain, such as bringing their own umbrellas!

4. Flexible Timeline

We all try our best to follow the timeline for the wedding day, as we know that sometimes it can get away from us. In the event of rain, it’s extremely important to be as flexible as possible. Some things may need to be changed, added, or removed, regarding your timeline. Just know that all involved will do absolutely everything possible to make sure that your day is still completely perfect. Be sure to also involve your wedding vendors, especially those capturing your day. They will have recommendations on what they can do to capture beautiful moments while it’s raining.
