On a cloudy November afternoon, the wind blew across the Caloosahatchee River. The wind created small ripples that captured small specks of light. On the edge of that river stood The Heitman House. By the end of that night, Alexandra + Gary would be the newest couple to begin their happily ever after at the waterfront wedding venue in Fort Myers, FL – The Heitman House.
Getting Ready
At the beginning of their wedding day, Alexandra + Gary had to get ready in their designated suites. The bridal party and the groomsmen went off their separate ways.
Bridesmaids
In the bridal suite, the ladies took their time with hair and makeup. Each of the bridesmaids went for a look that brought out their uniqueness. Some wore their hair up, while others wore their hair down. They each wore different shades of blue for their dresses. Again, each with a different style in cute, color, and flow. One thing that they all shared was their love and support for the bride on her wedding day.
Groomsmen
On the other side of the hall, the groomsmen got ready into their suits. Unlike the bridesmaids, the groomsmen all wore matching suites, right down to the accessories. They all wore a navy blue suit that was paired with a white button-down shirt. For accessories, they decided to go for the sterling blue silk ties along with some matching handkerchiefs. The groomsmen also went for the classic pairing of brown shoes and brown watches. Once the wedding party was ready, the next phase of their day was ready to begin.
The Waterfront Wedding Ceremony
Outside in The Heitman House yard, guests gathered to take their seats facing the Caloosahatchee River. Soon, a violin began playing to signal the guests that the ceremony was beginning. Two by two, the wedding party made their way down the aisle. The different shades of blue in their outfits perfectly mirrored the blue waters. Finally, Alexandra stepped out onto the brick walkway.
The bride wore a beautifully fitted mermaid dress. It had lace details that accentuated the curves of her body. Starting from her upper bodice, and then reappearing in the train of her skirt. As she glided along the aisle, her crystal droplet earring caught every shimmer of light. But that’s not what had the groom amazed. It was her. The woman that he’d always hoped he would find. She was finally there, right in front of him, ready to become his wife.
The two exchanged loving words, vows, and promises. All leading up to the “I dos”. Alexandra + Gary sealed off their love with a kiss and the guests cheered in excitement. They were finally married!
Reception + Decorations
The waterfront wedding reception began just steps away from the ceremony area. Guests moved under the globe-lit lights that resembled stars. The warm glow added on to the romantic ambiance of the night. Each table was covered in soft white linens and dressed with gold charters and blue napkins. All on theme with the watery shades of blue.
The night was sealed off with celebrations for the newly married couple. From toasts and first dances to cake cutting and cool tricks on the dance floor. It was certainly apparent that Alexandra + Gary were surrounded by love on their wedding night.
