Whitney + Nick’s Love Story
Their love story begins in Champaign, Illinois. Nick moved to Champaign from the Springfield area. They were working at Busey Bank and their bosses actually set them up and initiated the first date! They went to Guidos for an amazing drink and dinner together. Whitney and Nick started officially dating on August 19, 2017. November 26, 2020, is when Nick proposed.
They had a trip planned to go to Savannah, Georgia. Savannah is their all-time favorite place! They went down to visit family and spend Thanksgiving with them. He scared her by telling Whitney that they had to call his mom back and she needed to talk to them. She thought something was wrong! In retrospect, their future niece just had surgery a couple of days before so she thought it had something to do with that. As they left the table because she “didn’t answer” he turned and got down on one knee. He surprised her by having her parents fly out to Georgia! They totally caught her off guard when they were outside when she came out! Whitney said it was truly special and that she was so surprised!
