How would you describe your “DJ Personality” or “DJ Style”?
I am a high energy, yet laid back and flexible DJ. I’m happy keeping the dance floor moving all night long or simply providing the background music for a night of drinks and conversations. Above all my personality can be whatever is needed to make the night perfect for your event.
What is your favorite DJ memory? –or– What was the funniest thing to ever happen at an event?
At one of my very first shows I watched a groom do a fully choreographed dance to a song from the greatest showman. He had a top hat and cane and everything. It was wild!
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? –or– What is your proudest achievement as a DJ?
My favorite thing about being a DJ is getting to be the glue that holds together one of the most memorable nights of someone’s life. Customer service is part of every job imaginable, and it’s no different as a DJ. The exciting part about that is the customer service lends itself to having a blast with my clients.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
What makes me unique is that I would consider myself a DJ second, and a facilitator first. My specialty is caring for the bride and groom, or whomever our client is, and ensuring their best day possible is the first priority, and I build the DJ experience around that.
What is your favorite part of the night?
7:15 PM. Not too early to have a good time, but not too late to savor the moment 😉 But in all seriousness, I love toasts. I get a window into the friendships and family bonds for a couple and it helps me feel that much closer to them.
What is your favorite party song?
Let’s Get it Started – Black Eyed Peas. Introducing Bridal Parties to that song always gets me hyped up.
Why did you become a DJ?
In my daily life, I serve as a transactional attorney at a private law firm in Champaign. While I get to assist families with the purchase of their first house or finalizing their estate plan to care for their families when they’re gone, I don’t get to flex my party side too often in that role. Complete gives me a great outlet to use my creativity and connect with people in a fun and energetic environment.

| How would you describe your “DJ Personality?” | I would describe my DJ personality as easy going and energetic. I’m a Libra so don’t be surprised if you see me talking to literally every single one of your guests, and being a social butterfly. My hope is to make everyone, especially the bride and groom, feel relaxed and ready to dance the night away! My ultimate joy in life is in getting everyone in attendance to absolutely lose it on the dance floor so if I can make that happen then I know I did a good job. |
| What is your favorite memory as a DJ? | My favorite memory as a DJ was probably the time when I hosted a game of scavenger. The contestants of the game were extremely competitive and we had people going to the furthest extents to try and win. We even had the bride and groom getting involved by naming objects for people to find. Although, the best part was when, out of the mid-20s to early-30s contestants, the pre-teen contestant ended up winning the whole thing! |
| What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? | My favorite thing about being a DJ is bringing joy and life-long memories to everyone in attendance. I want everyone to remember the night of your wedding as one of the most fun and awesome nights of their lives! |
| What makes you unique/stand out as a DJ? | Music is my life and I have touched on just about every genre imaginable, whether that be through production, mixing, live audio, or DJing. I also have DJ’d for a very wide variety of events and audiences. I will be able to quickly read a room and figure out a plan to keep the dance floor engaged or get people back to the dance floor if they have lost interest. |
| When it comes to weddings and receptions, what it your favorite part of the night and WHY? | My favorite part of the night is selfishly when the dance floor gets opened up. I consider this as my opportunity to truly shine as a DJ. I can show off my skills as well as truly celebrate with everyone. |
| What is your favorite party song to play at events and WHY? | This is a hard one… I have some insanely fire mashups/remixes that I will occasionally drop into my mix if the crowd is at that energy level. My mashup of Daft Punk – Stronger and Zombie Nation – Kernkraft 400 is pretty great. |
| Why did you decide to become a DJ? | I always wanted to be a music producer and DJing kind of comes with that so it was always a dream of mine and now I get to make that dream come true. |
| List one fun fact about you most people don’t know: | I own a recording studio where I record and mix a lot of local artists in my town. |

| What is your favorite memory as a DJ? | This is a hard one cause I have so many, but my favorite memory as a DJ that stands out to me would be a wedding ceremony where the bride surprised the groom and all the guests with an instrumental version of the Jurassic Park Theme song as she walked down the aisle. Another would have to be a couple who are musicians, and the bride wanted me to play her first official single during the dancing. The entire family and their friends were on the dance floor singing along and so was I! |
| What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? | I think my favorite thing about being a DJ is being a part of creating special memories for our clients and their loved ones. We help orchestrate some of the major parts of the wedding reception, like the introductions. Getting the guests hyped up and hearing everyone go wild when I introduce the couple always gives me so much energy! |
| What makes you unique/stand out as a DJ? | What makes me unique is the way I can connect with the guests and the dance floor. I’m always hyping them up and adjusting my music to fit the vibe of the crowd. |
| When it comes to weddings and receptions, what it your favorite part of the night and WHY? | Aside from the introductions, I think my favorite part of weddings and receptions is the dance floor. When I mix songs that make the crowd roar in excitement, I also get giddy with excitement! Seeing the looks on the couple’s faces when their favorite songs come on or when their friends do an outrageous dance move always puts a beaming smile on my face too. |

| Why did you decide to become a DJ? | I decided to become a DJ because I have a passion for live entertainment music and music mixing. I studied music production in college and I want music to be a big part of the rest of my life. |
| List one fun fact about you most people don’t know: | I learned to play the cello in high school, but started too late to join the orchestra. It’s my favorite instrument and although I don’t play much anymore I do have an electric cello that I keep in my home office. I also love to travel and have been abroad to France and Canada a couple times (Yes, I can speak a little French but it’s rough lol). |

How would you describe your “DJ Personality” or “DJ Style”?
If I had to put a label to my DJ style/personality, I’d say it’s somewhere between a dad at a barbecue and your cousin at a bar-mitzvah. Regardless, any room I walk into I try and find similarities and ways we can all have a great time together!
What is your favorite DJ memory? –or– What was the funniest thing to ever happen at an event?
My favorite DJ memory is when a woman ( I think the brides grandma) came up to me and requested a song, it was pretty late into the evening, and I only really had the wedding party and a few quests left at the venue, she had been there all night just watching everyone else, she walked up and requested Chubby Checker’s “The Twist” we had a pleasant conversation and I played the song next, I made a special shout out and dedicated to her.
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? –or– What is your proudest achievement as a DJ?
My favorite thing about being a DJ is, seeing getting to know the room I’m playing for, finding the right song that gets all of them on the dance floor!
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
The thing that makes me a unique DJ is the fact that I love to talk, I will talk to a brick wall, you can always strike up a conversation with me, I also vibe with a lot of different types of music, I can always jam.

My favorite part of the night is when I open the dance floor, the energy of getting everyone on their feet is exciting!

My favorite party song is a song that gets me insanely hype every time I hear it and that’s “Shots” by LMFAO and Lil Jon

I love connecting with people, I love music, and I love to party, you are telling me I can get paid for doing all 3, I’m sold!
Blake was an exceptional DJ, he set the flow perfectly and kept the guests engaged.
He asked us questions frequently to make sure everything was set to perfection and it was really appreciated.
He handled mixing the ethnic songs and English songs very well and it made everyone happy.

Why did you become a DJ?
I became a DJ because it has always been a dream of mine. I have always loved music and the way it can influence someone’s emotions. Music is so powerful and it brings so much joy to people. I love being the person who gets peoples feet moving and into full party mode.

One fun fact about me is that I was born without a heel Still doesn’t hold me back with me getting my groove on though.

I would describe my DJ personality or style as extremely comfortable and precise. I like to focus on getting to know the clients and make them feel like I’m part of the family for the day. I can blend in and mingle in almost any crowd. I believe that comfortable people are always happy people.
What is your favorite DJ memory? –or– What was the funniest thing to ever happen at an event?
My favorite memory of being a DJ is when I was doing a wedding that had a lot of children and I noticed the bride and all the other parents were overwhelmed so I gathered the children and kept them occupied on the dance floor just for a couple songs. Long enough to let everyone catch a breath and continue having a fun and amazing reception.
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? –or– What is your proudest achievement as a DJ?
My favorite thing about being a DJ is going to work and not feeling like I am actually working. I love to socialize and I love music. Weddings and receptions are where I have been able to help people the most but I just like to put forth good energy and keep the vibe positive or warm.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
I think one thing that makes me a bit unique is that I am an Army Veteran as well as an army child. I was fortunate enough to travel the world and live-in locations like Germany, South Korea, and many others which led me to learn a lot about different cultures as well as languages. I also am an artist myself and make music, I listen and search for all types and genres of music to help with my craft and in turn it gives me extensive knowledge on music overall. A specialty of mine is that I used to be the Leader of a Break-Dancing Crew throughout high school so I can bust a move and wont shy from getting on the dancefloor.
What is your favorite part of the night?
My favorite part of the night is dinner time. This is usually when I go table to table, whether I am releasing tables or not, and talk to the table and see how everyone’s feeling and find out what kind of music each individual might like. I write down more than just requests, I write down songs, artists, instruments and anything at all relating to music so I can then use it to make sure the night goes as smooth and comfortable as possible.

I am very energetic at times and can be hype, if need be, but I am an old soul at heart. I love funk, Motown and old school R&B. My favorite party song personally would be The Rubber band man by The Spinners but if I had to choose any other it would be Rock with you by Michael Jackson.
Why did you become a DJ?
I became a DJ because I always wanted to work with music and people. This a great way for me to do both and also feel like I’m actually helping and improving moods and days. I love to meet new people and love the connection you get with anyone when it comes to music. This job does not feel like a job to me in the slightest. I am genuinely happy to bring moods up and help someone else find their happiness through music.

I can conversationally understand and speak a little bit of 6 different languages other than English and those are Spanish, German, Hangul (South Korean), Japanese, C++ (Coding), Java (Coding)

| What is your favorite memory as a DJ? | My favorite memory has to be mixing for a New Gallery release at an art studio on the North Side of Chicago. Between the sculptures/modern art and the 8 genre mix we got to do, it was definitely one for the books! I’ve been lucky enough to see all sorts of different event spaces, so when a special one comes around it’s a treat! |

Hearing old stories and music associated with them leads to some of the best moments in a night! | When it comes to weddings and receptions, what it your favorite part of the night and WHY? | My favorite part of the night is a two way tie! For the ceremony, it has to be the moment the couple is introduced for the first time while the recessional song is played. There’s a special energy in the room after “I do” and for a moment all the stress of planning, getting dressed up and rehearsal is resolved.For the Reception, The final moment on the dance floor with the wedding party and couple is my favorite. The laugher and closeness from sharing the whole day celebrating comes down to a sweet moment, typically a circle of guests dancing around the Bride and Groom. This was a hard choice! The high energy introductions in the reception are a close second. |
| What is your favorite party song to play at events and WHY? | Currently, my favorite song to play is “You Should Be Dancing” By The Bee Gees. The groove of the bass behind those iconic vocals brings an energy that’s hard to top! |
| Why did you decide to become a DJ? | My Uncle moved back to Illinois from Ireland when I was fifteen, bringing his Club DJ setup back with him. He showed me how to mix, use effects and create transitions. After a few weeks of me practicing, he sent me home with a basic mixer to continue learning. Listening to and playing music has always been a big part of my life. So when the opportunity to mix and modify songs was presented, I was all in! |
| List one fun fact about you most people don’t know: | I help out a family friend as a produce farmer in the summer ! It’s a 5 acre plot near Joliet where we raise chickens and grow everything from Tomatoes and Garlic to Watermelons and Molokhia (Egyptian Spinach). You’ll usually catch me out in the field with a bluetooth speaker listening to mixes while tending the rows! |

One of the funniest moments and one of my favorite DJ memories was when I witnessed a group of adults enthusiastically joined in and wholeheartedly embraced the “Baby Shark” dance requested by a young little girl. The sight of grown-ups playfully imitating the dance moves with full enthusiasm while the little girl led the crowd was a hilarious and heartwarming scene that brought a lot of laughter and joy to everyone present.

My favorite thing about being a DJ is the exhilarating rush of surprising the crowd with unexpected mixes and creating an unforgettable performance all in the pursuit of making their day special. There’s an incredible satisfaction in knowing that my music can leave such a lasting impact that people are still talking about it with excitement the next morning. It’s this connection with the audience and the ability to create memorable moments that truly makes being a DJ an incredible and rewarding experience for me. I love what I do.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
What makes me a unique DJ is my skill for mixing songs and maintaining a high-energy atmosphere on the dance floor. But I am also a bilingual DJ! I was born in Europe In a small country called Albania. It is right next to Greece and Italy and with my background I have done European weddings, Latin Events, and more!
What is your favorite part of the night?
As a DJ, my favorite part of the night are the peak moments of the night when the energy on the dance floor is at its highest, the crowd is fully engaged, and the atmosphere is electric. But if we were being 100% honest here… we all know the food is the best part of the night.

My favorite party song would have to be Time of Our Lives by Pitbull. You can’t go wrong with a little Pitbull in your life.
Why did you become a DJ?
I became a DJ driven by a desire to elevate the music experience at events. Witnessing occasions where the music didn’t resonate with the crowd, and recognizing that others felt the same way, inspired me to take charge and make unforgettable nights. I wanted to bring my unique musical perspective to create an atmosphere where everyone could enjoy and remember the night for the amazing music and energy.
List one fun fact about you most people do not know:
I got to DJ in Europe as an opener to an Enrique Iglesias Concert for 30 minutes which was the craziest 30 minutes of my life seeing over 10,000 people in the crowd.
We used Complete Weddings and Events, specifically the DJ services, for our October 20th wedding at Destihl Brewery in Normal, IL. From start to finish we had an amazing experience. We appreciated the online planning tools, reminder emails, and helpful phone calls with staff to get us prepared for our big day! A huge shoutout and thank you goes out to our DJ, Jon. He had such a great energy, understood the type of music and vibe we wanted for our reception and executed that flawlessly. He was well organized and helped make the flow of our evening go smoothly. By the end of night, he was on a first name basis with most of our guests and was out mingling and tearing it up on the dance floor with us. Just a phenomenal guy and a great DJ. At the beginning, Jordan was awesome to work with, and that continued up through the day of the wedding. He assigned Jon to us, and Jon was phenomenal. He was very easy-going, friendly, and worked hard all night. I went into the wedding and reception thinking that we wouldn't have a very active dance floor, but Jon didn't let that happen. He checked in with us (the couple of the hour) very frequently and if we had concerns or needed something announced, he was on it. He also made sure to keep my guests engaged and having a good time, meaning the dance floor was never empty for long. I chose this service very quickly and based off of several incredibly positive reviews, but in the end it was still a leap of faith to make the call...and I am so glad I did.

Jon was the best wedding DJ we have ever experienced. Every single guest we've talked to about him has agreed. He is incredibly talented, attuned to the energy of the party and keeping people on the dance floor. He was even getting out there and dancing with us and bringing us water! Even during dinner, he was checking in with my husband and me to see if we needed drinks or if there was anything he could do for us. Prior to our wedding, I had a conversation with him about our tastes in music and what we wanted to hear. I feel like he really got our taste in music and made it work with the ultimate goal of keeping people dancing. He mixed songs so there were never any awkward pauses, and he even mixed in our guests' requests! At the end of the night we requested EDM, which was very out of left field from our prior conversation, and he totally understood the assignment and the last half hour felt like a rave! We ended the night with Dancing Queen, another request, and it was so seamless and perfect. He even played Closing Time at the very end and got a kick line going. He is a phenomenal at what he does and really ticks all the boxes of what you want from a wedding DJ. I cannot recommend him enough!

| Why did you decide to become a DJ? | I decided to become a DJ for the love of music. I myself and an audio engineer and run my own music studio and I just know I want to be surrounded by music all the time, and getting to play music that makes other people happy, there is no better feeling. |

Our team of people was perfection! They were above and beyond our expectations. I can’t say enough how happy we are with everyone. Graysie and Ryan were all stars. Paul had a fabulous eye for getting great shots/poses. Lucas has exceptional communication skills and kept me in the loop all night. He kept everything going smoothly. David was fantastic at as the Photo Booth operator and kept it all in line with the many guests that came through. We could not have had a better experience. Can not wait to see the final products :)

I once played a hype man for a groom rapping Eminem’s Lose Yourself. The guy nailed it and kicked off an incredible night.

Helping people let loose and have a good time. Life has its tough moments and I’ve always taken great pride in helping people be happy for the time that we share together.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
I’m not afraid to look a fool. I’ll get on the dance floor and lead people in ice breaker dances
I’ll start a DJ Train with the kids at the reception. You can even find me lip syncing Backstreet Boys and N’sync songs behind my booth. I love having fun and making others feel comfortable letting loose as well.
What is your favorite part of the night?
I love the spotlight dances and I’m a sucker for any couple who will allow an Anniversary dance at their reception. Celebrating love is one of my favorite things about being a wedding DJ and talking to couples who’ve withstood the test of time together is gratifying.
What is your favorite party song?
Cupid Shuffle is my jam and super fun to see how that song engages people of all ages!
Why did you become a DJ?
I thought it’d be a good part time job and it translated well with some skills I had from previous jobs I had.

In the winter months, I work as the play by play voice of Knox College Men’s & Women’s Basketball in Galesburg.
Nate was a fantastic DJ and made the whole night flow amazing! Very great communication between Nate and the wedding party! Very organized! We received compliments about how great our DJ was from a ton of our guests!
