How would you describe your “DJ Personality” or “DJ Style”?
I am a high energy, yet laid back and flexible DJ. I’m happy keeping the dance floor moving all night long or simply providing the background music for a night of drinks and conversations. Above all my personality can be whatever is needed to make the night perfect for your event.
What is your favorite DJ memory? –or– What was the funniest thing to ever happen at an event?
At one of my very first shows I watched a groom do a fully choreographed dance to a song from the greatest showman. He had a top hat and cane and everything. It was wild!
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? –or– What is your proudest achievement as a DJ?
My favorite thing about being a DJ is getting to be the glue that holds together one of the most memorable nights of someone’s life. Customer service is part of every job imaginable, and it’s no different as a DJ. The exciting part about that is the customer service lends itself to having a blast with my clients.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
What makes me unique is that I would consider myself a DJ second, and a facilitator first. My specialty is caring for the bride and groom, or whomever our client is, and ensuring their best day possible is the first priority, and I build the DJ experience around that.
What is your favorite part of the night?
7:15 PM. Not too early to have a good time, but not too late to savor the moment 😉 But in all seriousness, I love toasts. I get a window into the friendships and family bonds for a couple and it helps me feel that much closer to them.
What is your favorite party song?
Let’s Get it Started – Black Eyed Peas. Introducing Bridal Parties to that song always gets me hyped up.
Why did you become a DJ?
In my daily life, I serve as a transactional attorney at a private law firm in Champaign. While I get to assist families with the purchase of their first house or finalizing their estate plan to care for their families when they’re gone, I don’t get to flex my party side too often in that role. Complete gives me a great outlet to use my creativity and connect with people in a fun and energetic environment.
Adam was a fantastic DJ. The music was perfect. Continued to check in to see if there was anything you could do or make sure we and all the guests were having a good time

The planning portal mapped everything out for me and it was a breeze to use. Alex was the DJ we were matched with, and he made our day so much fun! He double and triple checked with me all the small details for the day, and played some seriously good music. Not once was i disappointed in a song choice! My favorite memory of being a DJ is when I was doing a wedding that had a lot of children and I noticed the bride and all the other parents were overwhelmed so I gathered the children and kept them occupied on the dance floor just for a couple songs. Long enough to let everyone catch a breath and continue having a fun and amazing reception.

My favorite thing about being a DJ is going to work and not feeling like I am actually working. I love to socialize and I love music. Weddings and receptions are where I have been able to help people the most but I just like to put forth good energy and keep the vibe positive or warm.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
I think one thing that makes me a bit unique is that I am an Army Veteran as well as an army child. I was fortunate enough to travel the world and live-in locations like Germany, South Korea, and many others which led me to learn a lot about different cultures as well as languages. I also am an artist myself and make music, I listen and search for all types and genres of music to help with my craft and in turn it gives me extensive knowledge on music overall. A specialty of mine is that I used to be the Leader of a Break-Dancing Crew throughout high school so I can bust a move and wont shy from getting on the dancefloor.
What is your favorite part of the night?
My favorite part of the night is dinner time. This is usually when I go table to table, whether I am releasing tables or not, and talk to the table and see how everyone’s feeling and find out what kind of music each individual might like. I write down more than just requests, I write down songs, artists, instruments and anything at all relating to music so I can then use it to make sure the night goes as smooth and comfortable as possible.
What is your favorite party song?
I am very energetic at times and can be hype, if need be, but I am an old soul at heart. I love funk, Motown and old school R&B. My favorite party song personally would be The Rubber band man by The Spinners but if I had to choose any other it would be Rock with you by Michael Jackson.
Why did you become a DJ?

I love to meet new people and love the connection you get with anyone when it comes to music. This job does not feel like a job to me in the slightest. I am genuinely happy to bring moods up and help someone else find their happiness through music.

We had an absolutely amazing time working with Complete Weddings + Events! From the way the lighting transformed the venue to the upbeat energy of the DJ, our guests had a blast celebrating our wedding with us. Given the circumstances surrounding the pandemic, the company was incredible about working with us to make sure our day could go smoothly. They exhibited excellent communication skills and were very flexible. The livestream that was provided was a great way to include those that were not able to attend, and we cannot wait to see the final video!

Our wedding DJ and videographer were above and beyond our expectations. They both seemed very prepared for whatever little hiccup that could happen, and they were very professional. Both our DJ and videographer went way above their duties, and stepped in to help with umbrellas for guests, cleaning up messes, and were just all around right there to help with whatever we needed throughout the whole day! We are so grateful for their amazing talents and professionalism through it all!

How would you describe your “DJ Personality” or “DJ Style”?
My DJ style has flavor, setting the vibe creating music playlist, I am a people first individual, and a very attentive of teamwork. I enjoy matching my attire, and my speech creates the energy in the room. a leader being part of a moment that is important not just in one person’s life but everybody’s where we get to be together in a structured organized party fashion!💯
What is your favorite DJ memory? –or– What was the funniest thing to ever happen at an event?
My favorite DJ memory is the bouquet toss at a reception where the bride throws the bouquet into the ceiling fan! And was caught by the grandmother. Then the garter toss was next, and it also flew into the ceiling fan and the venue manager got it down with the ladder so he won with his wife. It was a pretty good catch, haha.
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? –or– What is your proudest achievement as a DJ?
My favorite thing about being a DJ is I get to stay active and engaged in my work environment on a pure level for my health and mental health. My proudest moment of being a DJ is seeing everybody feel accepted, important, and having fun!
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
One thing that makes me unique is that I have a calm soothing voice.
I enjoy having fun and dancing on the dance floor with everyone to songs that they may not know the dance to and just to jump around and get lost in the music!
Also I enjoy arriving early, completing my setup, and giving an extra hand or extra time to help the venue, catering, the bride and groom to know that my communication and availability are present for teamwork.
What is your favorite part of the night?
It is so hard to pick just one! Ceremony, cocktail hour/dinner, party time, and the shoe game as well as toasts!
What is your favorite party song?
Cascade “every time we touch”
Why did you become a DJ?
To look and feel professional about my life, my health, my personality in relationships & and stories about people where the importance of marriage brings them together!
List one fun fact about you most people do not know:
My DJ nickname is “DJ HOO”
But everybody calls me Dj Mike 😎
As mother of the bride, I liked that we could get several different services all in one place! Communication with the DJ and photo booth staff was smooth! They tailored everything to our daughter & her new husbands preferences. They did a fantastic job at our wedding reception & were on time and friendly! DJ Mike read the crowd well and did a wonderful job of emceeing the event! We had so much fun! Thank you!!

Michael was our DJ for our wedding. He was a pleasure to talk to on the phone, answered all my questions, and was thorough with the outline of what I was expecting for the wedding night. He initiated and implemented the plan accordingly. He kept the crowd on the dance floor. And kept a good mix of dancing and karaoke. I would recommend Michael and his services again!

How would you describe your DJ personality or style .
Is fun and laid back . I can have a little of a club vibe when I get to play . I like to see the room all on the dance floor.
Rontai did an awesome job, everything was smooth and great. Thank you all so much!

We booked Complete Weddings + Events for our wedding DJ and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We had Rontai as our DJ and he was very easy to work with and accommodating to any request we had throughout the whole planning process. It was such a nice set up at the venue and he was able to get everyone on the dance floor for the FIRST song and kept everyone out on it the whole night!! We were very impressed and so were our guests. We HIGHLY recommend booking with Complete to anyone for any event, they will take great care of you!!

How would you describe your “DJ Personality” or “DJ Style”?
I would say my DJ Personality is the human representation of a mullet: business in the front, party in the back. For every sanctimonious moment, I will take care of your wedding as if it were my own. But once the party starts, when you see me roll up my sleeves, that’s when you know it just got real.
What is your favorite DJ memory? –or– What was the funniest thing to ever happen at an event?
My favorite memory as a DJ is when I hosted a trivia game during a reception. I’m a huge trivia nerd, and I fulfilled a lifelong dream of being a gameshow host, if only for those 15 minutes. The crowd had a great time answering questions about the bride and groom.
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? –or– What is your proudest achievement as a DJ?
My favorite thing about being a DJ is working up a crowd. There’s always going to be someone who dances, but when you can get everyone and their grandma up and groovin’, there’s no better feeling.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
The thing that makes me stand out as a DJ is my attention to detail. From the perfect timing for your grand entrance to lining up that special final song, I will do everything I can to make sure your special day goes flawlessly.
What is your favorite part of the night?
My favorite part of the night is right when the dance floor opens – it’s the most critical part of the night, but if you nail it, you’ve got that crowd wrapped around your finger!
What is your favorite party song?
KICK IT! My favorite party song is Fight for Your Right by the Beastie Boys. The attitude is just unmatched. I feel like it unlocks something from deep within me.
Why did you become a DJ?
I became a DJ because of my love for music and entertainment. I’ve always loved the feeling of being in front of a crowd, and most jobs don’t give you that opportunity. Making a living by celebrating with so many fun and different people is really what makes DJing appealing to me.
List one fun fact about you most people do not know:
Most people don’t know that one of my hobbies is building model cars, boats, and aircraft. This hobby has really built my attention to detail, as I have to hand paint every little piece. It can be frustrating at times, but oh so rewarding when you have the completed project. My favorite model I’ve completed is a 3-foot tall replica of the Apollo Saturn V rocket that took people to the moon.
Our DJ was very communicative and professional, and did a great job with our wedding! The pre-event forms also made planning so simple. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Would recommend him and complete weddings to any couple with an upcoming wedding!
- Emily B.
I loved having the planning form to fill out - it really helped me streamline everything I needed to prepare for our big day! I also love that we were able to speak to our DJ before the event to get to know each other and organize everything. Daniel was so accommodating and even helped us make some last minute changes on the day of our wedding. He was so kind and fun to work with!
- Morgan M.
We loved how the music interchanged, it felt like a party!! The DJ kept our day moving and it was really enjoyable.
- Emily F.
Daniel was AMAZING! From our first conversation over the phone, it was clear that Daniel was very personable and already invested in getting to know us. He took time to not only get to know us personally, but make sure he had a clear vision of how we saw our day going. Fast forward to the day off, he was spot on. He arrived early for set up, the music was exactly what we wanted for both ceremony and reception, and once again he was so personable. Something that really stood out to me was him taking the time to formally introduce himself to the wedding party and parents of the bride and groom. To a point where he knew who each member of the wedding party was. To me, that is something that was so simple, yet so impactful because once again it was just another example of him being so personable. It didn’t seem like he was just there for a shift. He truly was invested and took the time to be familiar as possible with the main points of contact and make us feel as comfortable as possible. He also did an awesome job adjusting and making changes as needed to the reception music depending on what type of energy was being given on the dance floor. Overall, we are extremely happy with the DJ services and our day wouldn’t have gone nearly as smooth without Daniel!

You’ll be faced with deciding between many great options when planning your wedding or corporate event. Deciding which color scheme, theme, and cuisine to use is half the fun of party planning! When it comes to finding a professional DJ in Peoria, IL, and surrounding areas though, it can be difficult to know where to begin.
Thankfully, we make it our mission to find special event and wedding DJs who are experts at setting the mood. Whether you’re looking for a disc jockey who can keep folks grooving throughout the party with an uptempo playlist and a dance floor light show or a great DJ who can maintain steady energy while folks mingle, we’ve got the perfect DJ for the job.
As you search for the right DJ for your event, it’s worth considering the things that matter most for your event. Are you hoping to hire someone who can emcee the party, making introductions and announcements throughout the event?
Maybe your ideal candidate would be a master musician, willing to spin records and remix hip-hop and other classics as they go. No matter your priorities, we’ve got the right DJ for you! Keep these questions in mind as you consider your options:
Good music sets the scene, playing off of your theme and decor to create a mood that inspires socializing, dancing, and more. If you’ve got a specific tone for the event in mind, share it with your DJ. A corporate events DJ will have different skills than a wedding and event DJ, so it’s worth a conversation about your ideal soundtrack when interviewing candidates.
The most seasoned DJs will have worked all kinds of special events, but experience doesn’t necessarily indicate quality. Rather than ask about years in the business, consider the background of the DJ you’re considering hiring. Their taste in music, experience at local events, and outlook on common challenges can reveal whether or not they’re a good fit for your party.
Some DJs don’t mind a song request or two, but others have policies against them entirely. If you feel strongly about allowing your guests the chance to request a song, be sure to ask about each Central IL DJ’s stance. If you have specific songs you know you’ll want to be played, create a list, and share it with them. Conversely, if you have any songs you absolutely do not want to hear at your event, make sure you let the DJ know.
When you sit down with a professional DJ to discuss options for your event, the person you meet with may not necessarily be the person who works at the party. Clarify exactly who you can expect to attend and find out if they plan to bring along an assistant to help with setup or breakdown. It’s also a good idea to ask about what backup plan is in place in case the person manning your special event can’t make it.
DJ equipment can sometimes be bulky, taking up serious square footage with lights and speakers. If your DJ needs space set aside to work in, ask about their precise needs. Details about electrical outlets, set up and breakdown procedures, arrival and departure times, and uniforms should all be considered when weighing your options.
