How they met
Toni and Joshua met in high school. They were in the same grade. They were great friends and had mutual friends all through high school. Joshua and Toni didn’t start dating until the summer going into freshman year of college. June 28th to be exact. He was going to Missouri S&T and she was attending Mizzou. The lovely couple decided to try the long-distance thing and 7 years and a pandemic later, they married June 28th, 2020.
The proposal
“It was November 2018 and Josh and I had just moved to Kansas City that August. Josh decided to plan a surprise date night the weekend after I came home from a weekend girls’ trip to Cancun with my mom and sister. (Note: I was tan and had my nails done.) He said he had reservations for a nice steak dinner. I was stressed all day about what to wear and I really wanted to curl my hair but didn’t have time so I was a little flustered. Pus I had only eaten on thing early in the morning so I was very hangry! We drove about 30 minutes and he pointed out this old church place that he said he knew someone that worked there. He got off the highway and pulled into the parking lot.
He said let’s go walk around. I was like what? We’re going to be late for our reservations! (They were in 5 minutes.) He said no it’s fine, it’s right around the corner. I was like uh okay fine. Haha. I was very confused. So we walked around the place, and it was beautiful. We even saw a wedding party taking photos nearby. Then he stopped me by this beautiful fountain, grabbed my hands, and started saying a lot of sweet stuff I really don’t remember. I was in shock, I started balling, and he got down on one knee and proposed. I said yes, then a hidden photographer came out and introduced himself and we had an hour session of professional photos taken around this beautiful place!!!” – Toni
Toni and Joshua tied the knot on June 28th, 2020 at the beautiful Piazza Messina. The Ceremony was held outside of Piazza Messina wedding venue, in Cottleville.

“My now husband and I were one of many couples that had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID-19. With our original wedding date scheduled in April, we were able to reschedule for that June! My husband and I lucked out on our date because we ended up getting married on our dating anniversary! We like to think that it was meant to be 🙂
When we rescheduled, I informed Libbi of the new date and she was very accommodating and reassured me that the new date would work just fine for them! We were very fortunate in having our 2 photographers, videographer, and DJ all through COMPLETE. It made the process of rescheduling a whole lot easier and stress-free!
When we met our crew for the first time at the wedding we loved them! They were all filled with energy and made the day and evening such a blast! Our DJ, Matt, was outgoing and did a few things throughout the reception that we loved and will remember forever! We have not received our photos or video yet, however, Will, our main photographer, was such a joy to be around and he made taking pictures in 100-degree weather so fun!
The sneak peek pictures he sent us are AMAZING and we can not wait to see them all!! Danielle was our second photographer and she was with me in the bridal suite at the beginning of the day. She was so kind and fun to have with us and took some beautiful pictures of all the girls getting ready, my first look with my mom and dad, and shots of our rings/invitations/shoes/etc.
I wish it wasn’t over! I would recommend this company, Will, Matt, and Danielle to any bride and groom!” – Toni
