Ayla + Christian initially locked eyes when they were in middle school. Back then, they were just beginning to figure out what feelings were, so they started off as friends. As years went on, they decided to make it official after four years in their junior year of high school. Since that day, their relationship continued to grow stronger. All throughout their graduation in college. It only made sense that they move in together after college. The day they moved in together, Christian planned the most romantic surprise of all. He finally got down on one knee and asked the life-changing question, “Will you marry me?”. It came as no surprise that Ayla said yes! And so their new adventure began. Ayla and Christian’s wedding took place at Springs Venue in Tula, Oklahoma. Let’s take a look at their special day!
Ayla + Christian’s Stunning Springs Venue Wedding in Tulsa
First Looks + Personal Vows
In early fall, Ayla + Christian were set to get married at the Springs Venue in Tulsa. On their wedding day, the two spent the beginning portion of their day away from each other as they got ready. Once they were all dressed up for the occasion, they were ready for some first looks.
The two met outside in the stunning greenery of The Springs Venue. Christian was present before the arrival of Ayla. He had his back turned as she walked up behind him. A simple tap on the shoulder, a turn, and there Ayla was!
Bride’s Attire
Before Christian stood the woman he had known for so many years in her beautiful white dress. Ayla wore a long-sleeved, a-line dress. It had beautiful floral motifs that decorated her sleeves and faded into the rest of her dress. The bodice was cut in a flattering v-cut and the back mimicked that same shape. Ayla paired the dress with an updo held up by a pearl hair clip. All of the details amounted to the woman of Christian’s dreams and a stunning bride.
Groom’s Attire
Ayla slowly took in the dashing groom that also stood before her. He wore a classic grey suit, paired with a white button-down shirt, and mauve satin tie. He wore brown leather shoes to pull the full look together. After fully grasping the moment, the two were ready to say their vows. The two chose to do this away from their ceremony as vows are intended to be for the significant other. It gave their vows more meaning as the two (and our photographer) were the only ones to hear them.
Wedding Venue + Ceremony
After their first looks and personal vows, the couple was ready to get married! The Springs Venue had a stunning outdoor ceremony space. Guests arrived and sat in the white chairs that were placed on the bright green grass and trees. Once guests were in their seats, music began to play signaling that the ceremony was beginning.
The wedding party took a stroll up onto the winding cement sidewalks, leading them to the portico. The structure supported by wooden columns made for a perfect focal point as the altar. Ayla finally made her way down the aisle with her father leading her to the groom. Promises were made, and vows were exchanged, all finally leading up to “I do”.
Wedding Reception + Decorations
Once the bride + groom were married, it was obvious that the next step was to PARTY! Upon the arrival of guests in the reception room where they were met with stunning decorations left and right. Different shades of pink, cabernet, and yellow florals were perfectly set throughout the room. From the guest tables to the head table, the mauve colors and accents of greenery made for a romantic setting. Straight ahead from the head table were bulb letter signs of the newly married couple’s name. A spectacular view of the night.
To begin the reception, Ayla + Christian had their first dance under low lighting in front of their friends and family. Guests looked at them with loving eyes as they thought of all it took to make it to this remarkable day. After the first dance, the rest of the wedding reception rituals followed like cake cutting, and of course some dancing. Finally, as the night came to a close, the bride and groom ran off into their new adventure with a sparkler send-off!
