I became a photographer because I love being part of those meaningful moments you don’t always see just walking through life. Whether it’s a wedding, a family, or a senior session, I get to witness the joy, love, and emotions that make people who they are. For me, it’s about combining that raw emotion with the artistic side, capturing a story and turning it into something beautiful to hold onto forever.
My favorite thing about being a photographer is getting to see those personal, in-between moments that really matter to people. I love watching a story unfold,whether it’s the emotion of a wedding day, the connection of a family, or the excitement of a senior heading into their next chapter. Being able to witness that joy and love, and then use my craft to capture it in a way that feels both authentic and beautiful, is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
One of my favorite memories isn’t tied to just one event, it happens often, especially with seniors. It’s that moment when someone shifts from just smiling at the camera to truly showing me who they are. When they light up talking about what they love, whether it’s hunting, dance, sports, or another passion—you can see the pride, the joy, and the excitement come alive. I love capturing that spark, because it’s not just a photo anymore, it’s a piece of their story.
My favorite part of a wedding night is when we step away for sunset photos. It’s usually the first time the couple can pause, breathe, and take in everything that just happened. I love the way they look at each other, sometimes calling each other “husband” or “wife” for the very first time, with that little laugh or smile that says, we did it. In that moment, they can see their venue glowing in the distance, music and laughter spilling out, and know that all of their loved ones are there celebrating. It’s quiet, it’s beautiful, and it’s the perfect start to their next chapter together.
