I’m outgoing, creative, a little eccentric, and always ready to have fun. I’m also a bit of a music nerd, which means my playlists can go just about anywhere! I love connecting with different people and finding the music that brings everyone together. Over the years, my adventures have taken me from designing Victorian costumes for opera singers in NYC to punk show mosh pits and even dancing at a Persian wedding. That variety has taught me that music and dance really are universal languages. As a wedding DJ, I love combining music, lighting, and MCing to create a celebration that feels completely unique to each couple. The first dance will always have a special place in my heart. However, nothing beats seeing a couple finally relax, hit the dance floor, and celebrate with their favorite people. When everyone is singing, dancing, and letting loose, I know we’ve created something special. And if the room needs a little encouragement? “Cupid Shuffle” rarely lets me down!
A friend once told me that every time he hangs out with me, he “learns about a new genre of music”, and I thought that was the best compliment! Over the past decade, I’ve felt equally at home designing Victorian costumes for opera singers in NYC and getting in the mosh pit at punk shows. Music and dance is a universal language to me. In 2019, I attended a wedding where most of the guests only spoke Farsi, but I knew enough traditional Persian dance moves to fit right in and bond with people!
I enjoy the theatricality of combining music, lighting, and MCing to create an interactive show of sorts! There’s a very positive vibe to everything Complete Weddings and Events does, and it attracts people with fun personalities!
When I can tell that the couple is relaxed and having a blast with their guests! I love when people are singing along with the music, dancing like no one’s watching, and having zero inhibitions.
