Desiree + Richard had their wedding day at The Devyn. Their big day was filled with many special moments. Each detail was handpicked to have meaning and a lasting impression that they could look back on for years to come. Their October wedding could not have been more perfect.
Getting Ready
On the day of Desiree + Richard’s wedding, they first began the morning by getting ready in their designated suites. In the bridal suite, Desiree set the mood for the day by gifting her bridesmaids with matching sets of pajamas. They were pink satin PJs with black lining. Desiree had her own satin white rob that she got ready in. After hours of getting hair and makeup done, the bridal party was finally ready. Each of them wore a deep navy blue dress in different fabrics. One satin, one chiffon, and the other a cotton.
The groomsmen were on the other side of the hall in their own suite. They shared drinks as they got ready into their suits. The groomsmen wore grey suits with white button-down shirts. Each paired the suits with navy blue ties and handkerchiefs to compliment the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Ceremony
As the wedding party finished getting ready, guests started to arrive at the venue. The Devyn was a perfect location for the day’s festivities. Starting with the ceremony. Guests were directed to the courtyard where seats awaited each of them. Once everyone was ready, the ceremony began. Soft music began playing as the wedding party came down the aisle two by two, and then finally leading up to the bride.
The Bride
Desiree stepped out onto the courtyard and caught the attention of every guest. She wore a fitted dress that extended out into a long train. It started out with lace on the top and then slowly faded out into the rest of the dress. Buttons went down her back as well as into the train. Desiree’s long veil added to the dramatic effect of the dress. It extended past the train of the dress and had lace details on the lining. She walked up the aisle and met her groom.
The Groom
Richard stood before her as all of the memories that led up to now flashed before their eyes. He wore a navy blue suit with a white button-down underneath. The groom paired the suit with a matching shade of blue on the tie and vest. The bride and groom held hands as they said their vows and sealed their future together. A kiss between the two signaled their new chapter as husband and wife!
Reception
Next, the wedding continued in the Alexandria ballroom. The guests entered a chandelier studded ballroom, where they each took their seats and awaited the wedding party. Everyone welcomed Desiree + Richard as they danced their way to their head table. The night was filled with love and hope for the future. All feelings were captured by their live painter, Jacob Event Painting. After a night of toasts, food, and dancing, everyone left the night with a sense of fulfillment.
