Hello, I’m Cion (pronounced Shawn) and I first turned to videography as a hobby 10 years ago filming videos of my friends and I climbing and rappelling around Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas, NV. I am also a huge movie buff with Quentin Tarantino being my favorite director. Coupling my knowledge on how a cinema camera works and my love for movies has allowed me to enjoy filming weddings on a deeper level. In my mind, it is easy to shoot the normal shot list for a wedding, but it is the finer details that matter most. The things others can overlook that give your video that extra touch of depth. Let’s make some magic.
I became a videographer for 2 reasons: My passion for movies and documenting special memories that will last forever.
My favorite memory from a wedding I shot is and has always been when the groom and bride don’t see each other until the ceremony. The candid look on both of their faces that I am fortunate enough to capture of their day.
My favorite thing about being a videographer is learning something new about videography each and every event.
What makes my work unique is the fact I do not shoot on a gimbal anymore. It has allowed me to shoot angles and get different perspective shots that you can not obtain with using one.
My favorite part of the wedding day is capturing all of the firsts for a newly wed couple.
A fun fact about me is I’m left-handed, my favorite holiday is Halloween, and I have a red golden retriever named Apollo.
