I’m a classically trained photographer but have embraced the digital age with open arms. Now, I use my B.S. in Commercial and Portrait Photography, Professional Photography Certification, Craftsman degree and 24 years of photography experience to create artistic images of the highest quality for my clients. As a rebellion to my wildlife photographer dad, I specialize in photographing people. But, when I’m not out photographing people, you’ll find me at home with my wonderful three cats, one dog, oh, and my husband and two kids. And if you still can’t find me, go to Tanzania, because I’m probably there leading photographers on some outstanding photographic safari adventure.

Why did you become a photographer?

I really enjoy being a part of wedding days. There’s something so beautiful seeing all the friends and families come together to celebrate love.

What is your favorite memory from a wedding you've shot?

After 26 years of photographing weddings, there are way too many to have one favorite. That being said, the one time everyone’s phones went off with a tornado warning the exact second the groom was leaning in to kiss the bride is a definite highlight.

What is your favorite thing about being a photographer?

I love being around people! There’s a lot of people on a wedding day, and I’m here for every part of it. I think that my years of experience developing wedding timelines and photographing in all conditions gives me the confidence to be able to also joke around and enjoy the wedding day along with the couple.

What makes you or your work unique?

I am a three-time winner of the Nebraska Wedding Photographer of the Year, so I’d like to think I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make your wedding stand out! I also love to make the day unique to each couple. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll do my best to make it happen.

What is your favorite part of a wedding day?

My favorite part of wedding day is easily the time alone with the couple. I like to give them a few minutes to themselves so they can relax and spend a few moments just the two of them. (I also like the first dance and as a boy mom, I’m a sucker for the Mother/Son dance.)

What is a fun fact about you?

Where to begin…. I love to travel, but really, who doesn’t? Photography related fun fact, I lead safaris for photographers to Africa. Ask me about my cool lion pictures. I also have an unhealthy obsession with Formula 1 racing.
