I’m Melody, and I am the DJ you need if you want to have fun without worrying about a single thing. From getting your guests out onto the dance floor, to organizing surprises or even helping you and staff clean up after your lovely day, I am here for you.
When I am not behind a microphone I am at home with my fiance, watching tv with our two pets: my cat, Mister and my dog, Choobie. I love playing video games, watching anime, doing karaoke, and going to the gym.
In terms of music, no genre is too niche for me. I joke with my friends that if you can’t go from Dolly Parton to Pantera, you can’t ride in my car.
Music is a massive part of my life and I’ve always surrounded myself with it (even to the point of sneaking headphones into my jacket sleeve to listen during my school classes). It helped me focus, and I always knew music would remain a huge part of my life. I am so excited to help you create the perfect playlist and be there with you for every step.
I am not just a wedding DJ, but a reliable partner in creating an unforgettable event. I personally pour myself into my craft to create a special experience and atmosphere that you and your loved ones will talk (and giggle) about for years to come.
The energy I bring to each event is unique, just as every wedding is unique. While I am naturally outgoing and love to have fun with my work, I am also a professional who knows how to stay in the background when needed. It all depends on your vision for the day. I can match any energy you’re looking for and make the fun happen regardless!
Two specific nights stick out the most. My first night as a DJ, I felt absolutely amazing, ending the evening with a fire in my chest. If you’re looking for the ‘funny’ answer: it was the time a pastor asked me to play a certain popular Cardi B song!
I am not just your DJ; I am a partner for your event. I don’t want you to have to worry about a single thing. For me, that means being more than just intuitive on the dance floor. It means being there to make sure your hairpin doesn’t fall out while you’re dancing the night away or having a bandaid ready if you’re rocking out just a little too hard. I am truly there for you.
It’s hard to choose a favorite moment, but I love the dedication dances as well as games, like Survivor. On one hand, you have those time-stopping moments. There’s nothing quite like seeing a couple’s first dance, surrounded by everyone who loves them. On the other hand, I love the laughter and energy of a game, like seeing who can rush a piece of candy to me the fastest to win!

Both my dad and my aunt came from the DJ industry, so I grew up around the business. However, I wasn’t always sure that path was for me; I wanted to find my own way. Eventually, I chose it for myself.
In my early twenties, I got the opportunity to DJ a special event for a coworker. I blended in seamlessly, and we immediately started seeing more business. The very first night I touched the microphone, I knew this was exactly what I was supposed to be doing.
Through hard work, I stepped into a management role within a year while continuing my duties as a DJ. I spent the next few years happy, but I eventually found myself looking for more. That’s when I found Complete Weddings + Events. Once again, I felt that unmistakable pull of knowing exactly where I was meant to be.
I’m a part-time stand-up comedian! I do shows in Omaha and Lincoln.
