When Whitney + Grady were deciding what venue to have their wedding, they wanted something that would fit the lively energy of the day and their family. With that in mind, the choice was obvious that they have their wedding at Fonner Park. Fonner Park is central Nebraska’s perfect wedding and event space. Throughout the year, they have many different events. The one that most everyone knows of is the springtime horse races. This makes it the perfect venue for a country-chic wedding day!
First Look
Whitney + Grady’s wedding took place in late November. A time too cold for horse races, but they were able to have a moment in the stables. Once they were both ready, Grady walked into the stable first with his back turned to the entrance. In walked Whitney with the help of her bridesmaids. They gently placed it onto the floor and scurried far enough back to let Whitney + Grady have their first look.
The Bride
With a slight tap on his shoulder, Grady turned around and saw the woman of his dreams. There Whitney was in her fitted trumpet-style dress. It was strapless and had a lace overlay that made its way to the end of the dress. The trail of the dress faded out in mesh detail. All forming the most beautiful bride.
Fonner Park Indoor Details
After taking in the moment alone, the soon-to-be wedded couple was ready to begin the ceremony. The ceremony was in an indoor part of the venue at Fonner Park. Tables were already set for the guests to sit for the wedding festivities ahead. White table linens topped off with cowgirl boots and sunflowers made for the perfect combination of a country chic wedding.
Ceremony
Once guests arrived, it was time to start the wedding. Music began playing to signal the wedding party to start walking down the aisle. They were followed by the flower girls in ivory ruffled dresses. Finally, Whitney made her way down the aisle and met her Grady. They held hands, exchanged their vows, and placed rings upon each other’s fingers. By sealing their promises with a kiss, the party was ready to begin!
Reception
The kiss had the guests break out in cheers for the newly wedded couple. Lively music began playing and the family and friends all took turns running to give each of them a hug. The reception included a first dance for the couple, some toasts, bouquet and garter toss, and of course even more dancing! One thing was for certain, Whitney + Grady were fully supported by both sides of their family to begin this new journey.
