Molly & Braden's Wedding

Molly & Braden’s Wedding at The KSU Alumni Center

6.7.22

March 26, 2022, marked Molly & Braden’s special day when they tied the knot at All Faiths/Danforth Chapel & The KSU Alumni Center. The All Faiths/Danforth Chapel is a popular wedding venue for Manhattan residents and Kansas State students. Its unique architecture and charm make it the perfect venue for your gatherings. Both chapels were built in honor of those who lost their lives in World War II and the Korean War. The Chapel Auditorium is the primary recital hall for the Kansas State School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. It seats 511 people and houses a 40-rank pipe organ from 1961 which allows for beautiful music during your ceremony.

The K-State Alumni Center is located a half-mile away from the Chapel. The venue offers meeting and banquet facilities for the community members and the university. The venue offers a variety of extravagant rooms and professional staff to help execute your event. Molly and Braden utilized the First Floor and Banquet Room for their reception which has an occupancy of around 750 people.

Molly & Braden’s Planning Process

The couple dated for four years before getting engaged on Christmas in 2020. They both stated that the most stressful part of wedding planning process was getting friends who had never attended weddings involved. Molly loved dress shopping with her grandparents and maid of honor. Braden loved getting all their closest friends and family together for their event.

The couple said that hiring a wedding coordinator was the most important thing they needed in the planning process. They chose Tara, a wedding coordinator at Complete, for their wedding. Soon after they decided to bundle the rest of Complete’s services for their big day (DJ, Videography, Photography, Photo Booth, and Lighting). They cited Tara as their biggest supporter in the wedding planning process. She was able to help them visualize all their details and was available to talk when they needed her.

Wedding Getting Ready & Personal Vows

Molly & Braden got ready at the KSU Alumni Center. Hair and Makeup were done by Gaia Salon. Molly got her wedding dress from Princess & Penguin. The bridesmaids’ dresses were made from Azazie. Braden and the groomsmen wore suits from Borck Brothers.

The couple decided to do their first looks and personal vows outside near Memorial Stadium. They chose to do personal vows privately instead of during the ceremony that way they could be more authentic and intimate. After the vows, they took pictures standing next to their wedding party.

Wedding Ceremony

After a couple of fun pictures and scooter rides, the wedding party made their way to Danforth/All Faiths Chapel for the ceremony. Molly & Braden’s mothers lit the candles at the altar and the rest of the party followed. All eyes were on Molly as she walked down the aisle.

Molly and Braden’s favorite part of the ceremony was when their officiant acknowledged all the guests who had gathered for their special day. It was a wonderful ceremony and before they knew it Molly & Braden were announced, husband and wife. The couple shared a kiss as they walked up the aisle. The group took more pictures and had a few drinks before heading over to the reception.

Wedding Reception

The reception was filled with all sorts of beautiful gold and floral decor supplied by All About You Event Rentals. All the floral decorations and bouquets were made by Kistner’s Flowers. Molly’s mother made special thank you cards for all the guests that were on top of all the place settings. For dinner, they had a buffet catered from HCI Catering. The couple shared a slice of wedding cake made by Bourbon and Baker. Molly and Braden were able to dance and chat with guests before sneaking off to take pictures at sunset.

Molly and Braden decided to have pizza and donuts from Varsity Donuts as a late-night snack for guests. Molly even changed into her pajamas for the latter half of the reception. It was a great impromptu idea that made the night that more comfortable and memorable. When the reception was over the wedding party packed in a limo from Manhattan Limousine Service. They rented Kite’s Bar & Grill for a special after-party celebration.

Wedding Advice

Molly and Braden’s biggest advice for planning a wedding would be to make sure that you make your wedding what you want. You can have a super unique or traditional wedding, but make sure that your wedding represents you as a couple.

They also stress that small details as not as important as you may believe. It’s good to have small details that guests can compliment, but if they are missing most guests won’t notice. They thank Complete Weddings + Events for their helping with every step of their wedding day!
