Wedding Day Advice for Brides
1. Have the photographer get as many photos as possible BEFORE the ceremony.
This will end up saving a TON of time for you, your spouse, bridal party, and all of your wedding guests. The wait time between the ceremony and reception will be at a minimum. If you decide against a first look, don’t worry! There are many shots that can be captured prior to the ceremony without doing a first look.
2. Ask the caterer to save a meal for you and your spouse.
Many newlywed couples end up having very little time to actually eat any of the cocktail food or dinner. Many couples are extremely occupied catching up with wedding guests and there are also plenty of distractions the day of!
3. Don’t sweat the small things!
All in all, your wedding day will not go on without you. All of those little things will not matter once your day has come! You will find that those little things don’t matter to others as much either. Many couples find out they forgot a small thing or two, but find out that it didn’t impact their incredible day whatsoever. It will be absolutely perfect.
4. Have a plan.
Designate a family member or trusted friend to gather all of the wedding gifts, hold the marriage license, and make sure your things and overnight bag get to the right place. This will avoid unnecessary worry and concern!
5. Soak the moment with your spouse.
During all of the hustle and bustle, it’s easy to forget to enjoy yourself. Make sure you designate time to spend with just your spouse to soak in the fact that you JUST GOT MARRIED!! This could be in the form of a last dance or just being together. Enjoy every moment.
