Elizabeth and Alex’s outdoor October wedding is perfect for fall wedding inspiration complete with warm-colored florals and accents, pumpkins, and the best weather autumn can provide! Elizabeth and Alex moved to Kansas City after Elizabeth completed grad school in Milwaukee, and a New Year’s Day proposal came soon after! The Legacy at Green Hills wedding venue hosted the couple’s big day and is the wonderful setting for an earthy, outdoor Kansas City wedding.

Elizabeth + Alex Wedding Day
This dreamy outdoor reception included a wooden altar adjourned with white tulle, while orange pumpkins, gourds, and autumn leaves framed the scene. Continuing on with the fall color scheme, bridesmaids were dressed in maroon lace dresses matching the color of the groomsmen’s ties. Elizabeth’s bouquet included every warm color imaginable from yellow to deep plum.
At the reception that evening, the dance floor opened with spotlight dances including the couple’s first dance song “Let it Be Me” by Ray LaMontagne, “I’ll Be There” by the Escape Club, the mother-daughter dance dedicated to Elizabeth’s father, and the mother-son dance, “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor. As the night cooled off, heated lamps, sweet love, and a lively dance floor were keeping things warm! Party lights filled the dance floor as Elizabeth and Alex’s siblings, children, family, and friends joined in on the fun! Complete Weddings + Events’ DJ Jonah had everyone dancing to wedding dance favorites from the “Cha-Cha Slide” to the “Electric Slide.”
