FAQs

Can I create a playlist? Do you take song requests?

Yes! We provide access to our online event manager, where you can share your music preferences, create playlists, and select specific songs for key moments like your ceremony, first dance, and more. We take pride in customizing each wedding to reflect your style and ensure you hear the music you love.

On the night of your event, our DJs can also take song requests from your guests, as long as they align with your musical preferences. With a music library of over 20,000 songs, we’re confident we can keep the dance floor going all night!

Will I get to talk to my DJ about the details prior to my event?

Of course!! You will be hearing from your DJ at least 2 weeks before the event to go over all of the details with you.

How much extra is a Premium DJ?

To book a Premium DJ, there will be an additional fee of $250 added to your DJ package.

What is the process like to request a DJ / find out who my DJ is?

All of our DJs are listed on our website, allowing couples to request a specific DJ for their wedding. If you have a preference, simply text or email us your top 2-3 choices, and we will mark your request on our schedule. While we do our best to honor these requests, we cannot 100% guarantee a specific DJ due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness, emergencies, or other life events). However, we do guarantee that you will have a professional and experienced DJ for your wedding day.

If no specific DJ is requested, we will carefully review your planning forms—especially your music preferences—and assign a DJ who is the best fit for your style and vision. This assignment is typically made about two months before your wedding.

Should I hire a wedding coordinator?

Short answer – yes! If you don’t already have a wedding planner and don’t plan to get one, a day-of coordinator takes the stress of your shoulders so you can relax on your actual wedding day for less than the cost of a wedding planner. They make sure your wedding is set up perfectly to your vision, make sure your vendors arrive on time, and are your go-to for anything you need that day! If there’s an issue, you will never know because they got it. They got you!

Is the full amount due up front? Do you offer payment plans?

Complete Weddings + Events just requires the booking fee at the time of reserving your service. The booking fee is no additional charge; it goes towards paying off part of your package. You can then pay off the remaining balance whenever/however you’d like, as long as the remaining balance is paid off up to 30 days before your event, you’re good to go!

Can we split up the contracted hours?

Unfortunately, our contracted hours are consecutive and not able to be split up on one single day. Our professionals are more than happy to help with whatever you need, and will always be doing something to better their service for you throughout your contracted time with them.

If downtime allows, our team of photographers and videographers will be capturing footage of guests, décor, venue, and unique details of the day. Our DJ will play background music, hold doors open while greeting guests, take song requests, and get guests ready for the next event whether it’s cake cutting, dinner, or the first dance. Our photo booth operators will invite guests to the photo booth or remind them when it’s about to be available, when the line has lessened, or when it’s about to close to make sure it’s used to it’s fullest!

Is gratuity included? How much should I tip?

Gratuity is not included in the Complete Weddings + Events’ services rate. Whatever you feel is best to tip your professional(s) at the end of the night is up to you! While 10% to 20% tips for wedding vendors is a guide, nothing is expected, but it’s always appreciated!

What if I need more time added to my packages?

If you need more time than what you booked prior to your event, you’re able to add time on at any point (even the night of) with any Complete Weddings + Events service! Just let us know, and we’ll take care of you on your special day!

What if my ceremony is in a different location than my reception?

If your ceremony is in a different location to your reception, the Complete Weddings + Events team is able to travel between both locations. We include offsite ceremonies in our Photography, Videography and Coordination packages at no additional fee. To have the DJ at an offsite ceremony, there may be additional fees for earlier setup and mileage.

Is there a benefit to booking multiple services with one company?

Yes – Bundling our services together only benefits the customer! Our team of photographers, videographers, DJs, coordinators, officiants, and photo booth hosts have worked together on many events and do it in an efficient and fun way! There are also savings involved when you bundle Complete Weddings + Events services together.

How do I reserve services or make payments with Complete?

To pay the booking fee and officially lock in your date with Complete Weddings + Events, visit your Event Manager. Add in your email address and password (provided from your event consultant) to log in to your online account and make a deposit or payment.

When should my planning forms be completed?

We recommend having most of the details filled in about 60 days before the wedding as we will be reviewing your account around that time. It is best to have it completed and finalized 3-4 weeks before the wedding.
