As you dwell on the best day ever, it can be difficult to avoid thinking about a few wedding day regrets. Maybe the sun didn’t show or your earring fell out during pictures. But the reality is that sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan. Therefore it’s important for you to realize that that is ok! Don’t stress. You just married your best friend! And you now have all of your tomorrows to look forward to together.

Missing out on a photo op with a special someone
Work with your photographer to add specific people outside your immediate family who might not be in their standard wedding photo list. Maybe your great aunt is flying in from out of state, your cousin just had the cutest newborn, or you’ve just never had a great photo of you and your grandpa. Of course, we wish we could get a photo with everyone, but really think about who you’ll regret not having a professional photo with. If you have any close family friends that must be in a photo, let your photographer know, aside from immediate family and bridal party they won’t always know who else they should line up for a photo. Pre-planning is key!! A list of must-have shots will help your photographer line up and prepare for all the group photos you want!
Not hiring a videographer
We probably hear this one the MOST! Videography is always worth the investment. Did you know videographers are typically more affordable than your photographer? Photo stills of the day will always be a timeless piece of memorabilia. However, with the day being such an epic blur to most brides and grooms, getting to actual rewatch, the emotions are priceless. Watching scenes of your BEST DAY EVER as they unfolded in those special moments is quite astonishing and moving. Also, Video is a way to see and hear family members who may no longer be around. We love photos; however, there is just something about Video footage that almost transports you back to that very special day to relive again and again.
Worrying about the little details too much
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Centerpieces, playlists, seating arrangements, bridesmaid dresses, room decor, something blue. Seriously we could go on for a while here. When many brides and grooms look back, they stressed a little too much on some smaller details that just didn’t really matter in the scope of things. At the end of whether your napkins should be white or cream is not really going to have an impact on your day. Try to keep a rational mentality. Remind yourself, this day is about you and your best friend and celebrating your love, not over-analyzing the small details.
The Brides/Bridesmaid shoe choice
Yes, the wedding heels are nice, but you will feel so much better slipping into something more forgiving for the reception.
Weather
Unfortunately, you can’t control the weather (if you can, we applaud you!). But don’t worry. Just have a plan B and know that it will be ok. If you decide on an outdoor ceremony or reception, bad weather is always a possibility. Especially here in Florida. When you are touring your venues, ask about their inclement weather plan, and what your options are. Make sure you are happy with what that option/plan B is and you will have nothing to worry about. Your wedding will still be beautiful, and all is not lost!
