Hi, I’m Vanessa Freeman

A Photographer based in beautiful Colorado Springs. I recently relocated here with my husband and five year old daughter from Miami, FL. We have two doggies and the most beautiful cat you’ll ever lay eyes on.

My photography journey started about 11 years ago. I’m self-taught with a passion for all things photographic, beautiful light, people, nature, and unique spaces. In my free time you’ll find me curled up on my couch reading books on, sacred plant medicine, human consciousness, ancient wisdom, astronomy, or anything to do with mysticism, spirituality, nature, and the human mind. I’m a big sci-fi fan, too.

Family is the most important thing in my life, followed by my passion for photography. I feel immensely grateful for this life, being able to make a living doing something I absolutely love. It’s not work, it’s a passion. I don’t take this blessing for granted and I can assure you will feel the love and dedication that I put into every single shoot.

I specialize in portraiture, elopements and wedding photography. My style of shooting is photojournalistic, visual storyteller, romantic, candid yet intentional, with a fashion touch. I love the in-between moments but I will guide you and position in the most natural and flattering ways possible. My goal is to capture genuine human connection artfully, while making sure my clients are feeling comfortable, confident and enjoying the experience.
