The proposal
Emma and Andrew went to high school together and reconnected a few years after graduation and have been happily together ever since.
“After spending the day with family, Andrew decided it was the perfect night to go out on the town and walk around for a bit. Although I was exhausted, I agreed (I’m not going to pass up date night!) and we headed to downtown Valparaiso. We walked around for a little bit, stopped to listen to a band play, then walked some more. Little did I know that Andrew was trying to find the perfect place to propose! Eventually, I said it was time to go home.
Andrew agreed but insisted that we stop by this one place that he wanted to see before we went home. I agreed thinking that we were just going to drive by it, mot that we would actually get out and walk around. It was 10:30 at night, who does that!? We got to Ogden Gardens and he insisted that we go walk to the gazebo, I objected fora. while mostly because I’ve watched too many Criminal Minds episodes and I had this crazy thought that someone was going to jump out of the bushes to kidnap us. However, I finally agreed to get out and go walk under the gazebo, still not thinking anything of this night. Once we got there, Andrew finally got down on one knee and proposed!”- Emma
The perfect Wedding at Bloomfield Barn venue
Emma and Andrew hosted their wedding at Bloomfield Barn in Central Illinois near the Indianapolis border. The Barn features awe-inspiring cedar construction with heated floors and air conditioning so your guests are comfortable during any time of year. The barn can hold up to 300 guests and seating is provided. This is the perfect location for any Central Illinois wedding with large grounds and outside ceremony space. The property also has a pond which makes for a great photo opportunity at sunset.
