There’s something about spring weddings at The Cannery in Eureka that just works every single time, and Jacob + Madelyne’s day was the perfect example of that. Between the fresh greenery all around the property, the industrial charm of the venue, and the sweetest little personal touches throughout the day (especially at the reception), everything felt relaxed, intentional, and completely them. From the moment we arrived that morning to the final moments of the reception, their wedding day felt equal parts intimate and fun, in the best way possible!
THE Most Stunning Bridal Suite
If you’ve never been in a wedding at The Cannery, something you may not know is just how stunning the bridal suite is. It has so much natural light, plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably, and a clean, bright, and airy aesthetic that photographs beautifully from every angle. It’s one of those getting-ready spaces that instantly makes the morning feel calm instead of chaotic. Madelyne and her bridesmaids spent the morning tucked away in the suite, laughing, getting ready together, and soaking in every moment before the day officially began.
An Outdoor Courtyard Wedding
Jacob + Madelyne chose to have their ceremony outside in The Cannery’s courtyard space, and honestly, spring showed off a little for them. The landscaping and greenery surrounding the ceremony area made everything feel so fresh and romantic without needing much extra decor. One of our favorite things about this outdoor ceremony location is how it gives couples that perfect balance of natural beauty and brick industrial vibes while still feeling elevated and intentional. It truly feels tucked away in its own little corner of Central Illinois. If you’re a book lover, you can 100% picture dream weddings taking place here.
The Main Space, Their Way
After the ceremony, everyone headed inside to The Main Space for the reception, and this space always photographs so well. The industrial character mixed with modern details gives couples so much flexibility to make the space feel like their own. Jacob + Madelyne added some incredibly fun personal touches throughout the reception too, including individual cakes at each guest table for everyone to cut and share together, which guests absolutely loved. They also used a vinyl record as their guest book, which felt like such a creative way to make something sentimental feel modern and unique at the same time. The entire reception felt warm, relaxed, and full of personality from start to finish.
The Property Did Half the Work
And then there were the photo locations. One of the biggest reasons we love photographing weddings at The Cannery is because you truly do not have to leave the property for amazing portraits. Everywhere you turn there’s another great backdrop, from the industrial textures of the building itself to the manicured landscaping and all of the greenery surrounding the property. Spring weddings especially feel unreal here because everything is so vibrant and alive. Think Bridgerton house vibes without the purple wisteria. Jacob + Madelyne fully leaned into that soft spring feel, and their portraits ended up being some of our favorites ever at this venue.
