Complete Do Good Campaign in 2025
Complete Weddings and Events has a wonderful opportunity to be a part of some of the best days in people’s lives. We believe that with that opportunity, we can also serve and spread joy in other ways as well. The Complete Do Good campaign has been active to support the local community and Global Partners in Hope. GPiH is a faith-based non-profit organization created to bring sustainable aid to West Africa. Last month, I was chosen to experience first-hand the impact of our efforts in Togo, Africa!
Local Complete Do Good Campaign
There isn’t enough space to explain how proud I am of our team for their dedication to helping others in their community. From taking care of puppies to volunteering at local events, our team and Lori in our office make a difference.
Heather’s Call to Action
One story in particular our DJ Heather Fox, soon to be Flowers, stepped up when someone was needed! Almost 100 dogs were rescued from an illegal breeding operation. This meant they needed to be bathed, fed, and given basic medical care due to the state of the facility they were rescued from. Heather has a very busy schedule, but still found time to show up and support the shelter so they wouldn’t be overwhelmed.
Ra’s Artistic Volunteer work
Our DJ Ra! Provided his artistic creativity and flair for the Color of Hope interactive art fest at Wompa. Ra is one of our most creative team members and an outstanding artist. Using his talents to support his local Casa organization was a huge hit!
Avery’s Puppy Love
We have a love for dogs in our team. Avery, our photographer, dedicates her time and services towards photographing and telling the story of Friends of TAS to support sheltered dogs. She gives her time to walking and caring for dogs surrendered to the facility and helping spread their mission effectively.
Experiencing Togo, Africa
The trip to Africa isn’t like any other place in the world. Poverty exists everywhere, but when even the most basic needs aren’t being met, survival can be in question. My experience in Togo was one of joy and heartache. I took stock of the comforts I had in my own life, like clean running water and toilets. I also felt envy of the community and love from everyone we met on our trip. It was an amazing and life-changing trip that brought clarity to my life and view of the world.
The Mission of GPIH
Global Partners in Hope is dedicated to providing sustainable help through freshwater wells and medical facilities in West Africa. On our trip, we were able to tour the medical facility and surgical center provided by GPIH. The process used to create these buildings and operate them is done in partnership with local doctors, leaders, and other villagers. This is done to help keep this impact alive for years to come. It is truly amazing work being done!
Benin Medical Facility
On our 4th day in the country, we traveled 3 hours across bumpy roads and through the Togo border to Benin, the country to the east. We arrived in the village of Atomè and were immediately welcomed with song and celebration. The villagers prepared a welcome ceremony at the site of a new medical facility in a very remote part of the country. The village is beyond grateful for the opportunity to have and operate the new facility. The impact this has on the community was obvious even though the medical building wasn’t even built yet!
Fresh Water wells with Xylem
Our Do-Good initiative would be nothing without some of friends in other industries. Xylem is a for profit organization that helps collaborate with utilities, industrial manufactures, communities and more to protect and optimize water. Xylem helps make water resources more sustainable for everyone. They help our initiative with Global Partners by matching our donations by $10,000 each year. In addition, they have several other projects and volunteer work they contribute. In February our Owner Ryan and fellow franchise owner Josh Kingsley helped a family in Wellston Oklahoma gain access to fresh ground water.
Complete Weddings + Events Donation
Every August, Complete donates 3% of our sales towards the initiative set by GPIH. We have a goal this year of $45,000 which we are on target for thanks to help of our staff and other locations contributing.
