I love being immersed in such an exciting day for your family. I love being involved with your grandma and photographing her secret tears when she sees you for the first time. I love witnessing you being loved so beautifully by those who mean the most to you. As a photographer, wedding days are my only window into your life and your relationships and it’s an honour for me to document those relationships and experiences for you.

I focus on the in-between moments. I offer gentle guidance during more posed portions of the day, however a wedding day gallery is threaded together by more than a few pretty, well lit photographs. The story of your first day of marriage is told through each and every guest’s love they have for you. Those little side glances or small smiles you miss when 700 other things are happening on a wedding day – that’s where my camera is focused.

The dance party, that’s for sure! At the end of the day when everyone is truly in celebration mode and letting loose to their favourite tracks. Some of my most favourite candid moments happen during the reception! I’ll never turn down an opportunity to get down to Mr. Worldwide.

I love an outdoor/indoor combo venue. Where guests have the option to hangout indoors or leave for some fresh air or an intentional chat. A venue that comes to mind that gives a great outdoor/indoor option is Cranberry Creek Gardens in Delhi, Ontario.

Choose a photographer you can see yourself being friends with. So much of being comfortable in front of the camera comes from the atmosphere that is created around taking photos, and if you feel like you’re hanging out with an old friend and cracking jokes together, that will make a world of a difference.
