What is your favorite DJ memory?
Brother of the groom made a special request to play Slipknot. With permission of the bride, I obliged, and the dancefloor turned into a dogpile! Even the bride got in on the action!
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ?
Knowing that I am helping someone else’s dream day come true all while doing something I love: playing music!
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ?
I am great with children! I take in their natural wild energy and transfer it to everyone else throughout the night!
What is your favorite part of the night?
From the bride/groom first dance to the open dance floor right after. The Spotlight dances are always really special and lovely to make happen, and then packing the dance floor afterward is really fun and sets up the party for the rest of the night!
What is your favorite party song to play at events?
You can never go wrong with “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)”, Whitney Houston is just too good!
Why did you become a DJ?
It allows me to take my wide variety in music tastes and use it to help make a couple’s day be fun and memorable. Not only do I get to be a part of an incredibly special day and help everyone have a good time, but I get to listen and dance to music while doing so!
List one fun fact about you most people do not know:
I’m a classically trained percussionist, and have performed at Powell Symphony Hall!
"Jakob was amazing! Our dance floor was never empty and he adjusted the music to ensure the older and younger generations all got a taste of music they liked. Everyone was on the dance floor! He kept the energy up all night! We loved having him! Any time we needed an adjustment or announcement, he made sure to get it done. All of our music for our ceremony was timed perfectly!"

"Jakob was our DJ. Jakob was *incredible*. I was just slightly nervous about having a DJ that I had never seen before, because I knew that a DJ can make or break a reception. Jakob totally delivered. We had a packed dance floor all night. He was enthusiastic, friendly, played an awesome mix based off of a small list we provided, and just made the reception an absolute blast. Since the wedding I have had multiple people ask who our DJ was- everyone was so impressed with him. We did the karaoke option which was incredible, and Jakob was able to incorporate the perfect amount of karaoke. One of my favorite videos I have seen from the reception was when I (the bride) was doing my Ice Ice Baby karaoke and Jakob is in the background literally jumping up and down like the biggest hype man you have ever seen.
