When it comes to wedding planning, a lot of the success of your wedding day depends on the vendors you choose. We were lucky enough to have chosen not only great vendors but great people. A wedding day is spent focusing on the couple to be married but, our wedding day would absolutely not have been possible without all of the vendors that came together to create such a memorable day. Here are the phenomenal Omaha wedding vendors that helped create the BEST DAY EVER!
Attire
Dress + Earrings ○ Rhylan Lang
THE DRESS! Oh my gosh! After a full day of trying on dresses, we finally landed on Rhylan Lang. My family and I honestly found the dress we wanted at a different store, but the service at Rhylan Lang was unmatched. Later that weekend, I called them and asked if they had the dress I was looking for. They asked one of their designers, found it, and had it shipped for a fitting! It was amazing.
If you’re looking for a dress, you should look there first. I chose the Marla dress by Enzoani! It has a corset bodice that really sinched in the waist, and fit the timeless feeling I was going for!
Tuxedos ○ Men’s Warehouse
Unsurprisingly, Patrick took less than thirty minutes to decide on the tuxedo he wanted. We were set on finding a classic black suit or tuxedo. The decision was made once he saw the options on him in person at Men’s Warehouse! What can I say, he’s a man who knows what he likes.
Makeup ○ Rose Pettle Makeup
Thank you to Facebook groups! If you’re not a member of the “Wedding Items Omaha, Nebraska” group and you’re planning a wedding for the first time, definitely join it! That’s how I found our makeup artist! Rose has worked at Omaha Fashion Week for many years and has many other experiences. She made all of my girls feel beautiful!
The Space
The venue, Decor, Lighting ○ A View On State
The very first wedding vendor my husband and I chose was our venue. We knew going into touring that we wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. Living in Nebraska, we didn’t want to chance it with the weather when it came to the later part of the night.
We toured a total of three places (not a lot at all but who has the time!) and landed on A View On State. I was obsessed with their ceremony space based on their website photos. It was even more beautiful in person.
What really sold us was that the ceremony space had a huge awning above it so it covered our guests, but we still got that open-air feel. They also have a lot of the wedding day decor taken care of. So less work for us on our actual wedding day!
Florals ○ Loess Hills Florals
Choosing flowers was pretty easy for us. I already had a Pinterest board with ideas of what I wanted the wedding to look like. We chose Loess Hills Florals because they not only provide florals, but they also provide the table decor things like the flower stands, “non-flammable candles”, etc. All for a very reasonable price!
But the biggest reason we chose them was because of Rhonda! The owner of the business is so welcoming and really listened to our wants and vision!
Food
Catering ○ A Catered Affair
We knew from day one that food would be an essential aspect of our wedding day. Patrick and I come from different cultures, so we knew we had different palettes to please. That being said, good food is good food!
After many tastings, we landed on A Catered Affair. We loved their menu, but the part we loved most was that they were willing to add any recipe that wasn’t on the menu. Everyone still talks about how great the food was that night!
Cake + Dessert ○ Omaha Cake Gallery
When we had our tasting with Omaha Cake Gallery, the decision was made with the first bite! Their cake is so (don’t hate me) moist! But not in a gross way. In the way that it just melts in your mouth.
If you’re considering booking them, you must try their Pink Champagne flavor! It’s a fan favorite and we definitely found out why. We had a double-tier cake with two flavors, some cupcakes, and zebra bars. Our dessert table was gone pretty instantly!
Complete Weddings + Events Omaha, NE
Last but certainly not least, we chose Complete Weddings + Events for our DJ, Video, and Photo! Going with Complete was a no-brainer!
Omaha Wedding DJ ○ Jerome (DJ Roam)
When I met Jerome, I instantly felt comfortable with him. He’s so easy going and I had read so many great reviews on him. It was important that our DJ be someone that can entertain the different crowds and tastes of my family. Our wedding had a mix of the African culture and American culture and he handled it with ease and made sure EVERYONE was having a good time.
My family had a playlist of requests, and he asked us how my husband and I felt before playing it. Which we Loved! We had a blast all night long. But more importantly, he was not afraid to remind us that it was our night and what mattered most was that WE were having a good time.
Omaha Wedding Videographer ○ Diego
Diego was incredible! He took time before our wedding to understand the timeline, requests, and needs. The day of, he was there at every moment but not in a way you’d notice him. He has such a fun and easygoing personality.
Omaha Wedding Photographer ○ Jackson
The photographer knew exactly what he was doing! He had great calming energy but was still able to get what he needed to be done for the shots we wanted. He was very flexible with any of the last-minute changes we made. We absolutely could not have asked for anyone better! And as you can see, the photos turned out incredible!
Thank You Omaha Wedding Vendors
All in all, the day was amazing! Any worries we had instantly melted away the day of the wedding because every vendor wanted to ensure that we were stress-free. Thank you so much to these Omaha wedding vendors!
