• It’s horse country!
• The restaurant is amazing
• It’s often used for photo shoots! If you’re not getting married there, the bridal shower would still be fabulous!

The Barn at Brambleton

• If you’re not getting married here (which is hard to imagine!) consider using the space for the shower
• The lounge and private rooms are quite impressive!

The Winery at Bull Run-Centerville

• Bull Run is NOVA-centric. Close to Gainesville, Manassas, Chantilly, Dulles-everywhere!
• There is lots of space and the staff know how to put on an event
• Their sister property- Old Farm Winery Hartland is also a great option. Both host weddings and other events often!

Bluemont Station Brewery and Winery

• The vibe here is so fun!
• The event space options are plentiful!
• The food is great!
• Tons of choices for beverages
• I can vouch for this place personally. I had my birthday party here and it was perfect!

Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm

• I can’t say enough about Clyde’s WCF- it’s a great option if you’re not into the whole winery and brewery thing.
• This venue is one of our partner venues- they are so easy to work with
• The grounds are amazing but the indoor options are classy and cozy

Historic Oakland Manor (Columbia, MD)

• What’s not to love about a manor?
• Oakland has plenty of space, lots of light, and a sweet, sophisticated, cozy feel- perfect for celebrating the bride-to-be!
• Because it is one of the city’s town centers, the availability and rates are very reasonable.

Other Options

• Tea Shoppes (like Tea with Mrs. B, in Falls Church)
• Community Centers (neighborhood or local park locations)
• Any of the Manors, especially if you’re into that sophisticated vintage feel
• Someone’s home (catering is highly recommended for a low-stress experience for the host).

The most important thing is a high comfort level for all, clear expectations (from the bride to the planner), and a carefully crafted guest list. Do you want to play games at the shower? Make sure to give clear instructions about it. Not everyone is into that. If you’re in charge of planning the shower, don’t hesitate to delegate (you have our permission to use that!). This is not the wedding ceremony, or the reception; it’s a celebration of the bride.  It should be easy!
