On September 28, 2024, we had the delight of capturing the wedding of Megan and Matt at the beautiful St. James Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN. Their special day radiated love, joy, and precious moments shared with family and friends. It’s safe to say they had a joyous church wedding day.
The ceremony, held in the church’s tranquil setting, was a heartfelt celebration of their devotion to one another. Megan and Matt exchanged vows in a warm atmosphere that was both touching and uplifting, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Let’s not forget Megan’s favorite little lady 4-year-old niece Rooney who stole the show with her adorableness. The day really turned out to be a joyous church wedding.
Talented photographers James R. and Al T. were present to document every meaningful moment, from the emotional vows to the vibrant reception that followed. Their artistic vision ensured that the couple’s story was artfully preserved, capturing the spirit of the day in stunning photographs.
The celebration continued with a lively reception filled with laughter, dancing, and a delectable feast, where guests raised their glasses to toast the couple’s bright future together.
Megan and Matt met in the way that people meet these days, on the apps. Quickly after taking they learned this could turn into more and took the leap to go out on a date. One thing turned into another and well here we are. You can find the whole love story and their proposal story on The Knot, Here is what Megan wrote:
“Picture it, Savage MN on a brisk October evening, October 23rd to be exact. Matt and Megan are running errands to the store like normal people do on a Sunday evening; on the way back from errands Matt started the conversation again about getting engaged. Little did Megan know that when they pulled into the driveway of Megan’s parents’ house Matt walked around his truck to open the door for her, but Megan did not think much of it because Matt is a gentleman. Little did she know that when he opened her door he would be leaning in the door with a smile on his face and little black box in his hand. He opened the box and asked the question Megan had been waiting her whole life to hear “Will you marry me?” It was the easiest YES she had ever experienced.”
We wish Megan and Matt a lifetime filled with happiness, love, and countless continuous hours spent laughing until you cry in Matt truck. It was a wonderful getting to know you and sharing your special day with all of us here at Complete Weddings + Events. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
