Wedding Ceremony and Reception
Macks and her bridesmaids started getting ready for the big day by getting hair and makeup done at Salon Muah. After a few drinks and laughs, Macks headed up to St. Joseph Catholic Church to get dressed. Her wedding dress was from Brilliant Bridal and consisted of a few alterations, one of which was a giant bow, added by Mack’s seamstress at The Original Sewing Room.
The pearl necklace that Macks wore was a gift from her father to her mother on their wedding day. She wore a necklace to honor her father’s legacy and love. Doug also got ready in his tux from J Crew at the church and the couple shared an emotional first look.
Wedding Ceremony
The bridal party and family members joined the couple to take some pictures. Before they all knew it, it was 2 p.m. and time for the ceremony. Macks’ mother walked her down and Doug and all the guests to grin from ear to ear. It was a beautiful ceremony. After “I Do’s”, Macks and Doug were officially announced as husband and wife. The couple walked back up the aisle and shared another kiss. They walked out of the church doors they were showered with applause.
After the ceremony, guests piled into two party buses supplied by Diamond Luxury Limos. The group traveled to various locations around Hays. They stopped at Toby Jugs for drinks and made their way to Frontier Park for pictures. Before heading to the reception, the group made one last pit stop at Macks’ childhood home. They met up with more family and their loveable dog. A few more pictures and a bottle of champagne later, the group entered the reception hall.
The reception was filled with all sorts of beautiful decor. All the floral decorations were supplied by Kukkas Flowers. However, all bouquets and boutonnieres were made by the family. The Rose Garden Banquet hall set up all the rest of the decorations and even made the cake. The guests joined in a prayer before dinner and toasts.
After eating people were able to enjoy dancing and watched as Macks and Doug shared their first dance and danced with their parents. Guests were given koozies made by Sip Hip Hooray as wedding favors and were able to partake in the photobooth. Macks and Doug also took pictures in front of their neon sign made by NeonOnDemand. The couple took more pictures before sundown and danced the rest of the night away.
