Krystal & Ryan Great Bend, Kansas Wedding

We were honored to be a part of the next chapter of Krystal and Ryan’s love story. Their ceremony took place at Community Christian Church in Great Bend, KS followed by a reception at the Great Bend Events Center on July 25, 2020. Their original date was set for June 13th, 2020, but like many couples had to make the hard decision to postpone. The wait was tough, but they made the best of it and we’re thrilled their guests could still celebrate with them.

Krystal & Ryan met in 2014 at a friend’s house and believe it was “love at first sight”.  Ryan approached Krystal that night telling her “Wow, I have no idea who you are, but you are the most gorgeous girl I’ve ever seen!” In normal nervous guy fashion, he then walked away. 🙂 Luckily for them both they decided to start dating shortly after that encounter. Fast forward 3.5 years later and Ryan worked up the courage to ask Krystal that very important question, will you marry me! Of course, she said yes or our story would end there. 🙂

Ceremony

Krystal & Ryan said “I Do” at the Community Christian church in Great Bend, KS on a hot July day at five o’clock in the evening. Surrounded by their family and friends and the love they shared could be felt in the room. Krystal’s dad had passed away when she was little so she had her grandfather walk her down the aisle holding a picture of her late father. Of course, causing everyone in the room to tear up. Ryan gleamed from ear to ear as Krystal processed down the aisle. During the ceremony, they exchanged vows, rings, and a unity ceremony signifying two families becoming one. They have pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Becker and recessed up the aisle and outside where their guests greeted them with bubbles.

Reception

The Great Bend Events Center hosted Krystal & Ryan’s reception and their family and friends as you can tell from some of the dancing shots enjoyed the night to its fullest. Complete was able to provide DJ & Up-Lighting at their reception. Their blush pink and navy colors accented the space well.  After the grand entrance, the couple and their guests enjoyed dinner followed toasts and slicing into their first piece of wedding cake. They had a little fun with that by smashing it into each other’s faces. To start the dances off, the couple and their guests enjoyed a German wedding tradition called the Grand March. This is an activity where the guests join the couple by dancing around the room to a polka melody.

Think of it as a game of follow-the-leader combined with London bridges and everyone ends up in a circle around the bride and groom as they then move on to their first dance. Krystal & Ryan danced to “Remember You Young” by Thomas Rhett. After the special dances, they participated in the shoe game, bouquet and garter tosses, along with the dollar dance. Guests even got Krystal to show off a few cheerleading moves! The dance floor was packed most of the night and we couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds.

Congratulations Krystal & Ryan! Cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness!!!
