Mary and Daniel Theisen were married at the Venue at Willow Creek in Kansas City, KS. A wedding venue surrounded by acres of trees and meadows allowed guests to fully escape from the busy city for an evening of celebration. The sunny, July day, paired with plenty of natural scenery, made an elegant, serene backdrop for the Theisen’s wedding. Watch their Kansas City wedding video.
The two met working together back in 2015, and had their first date at Bluestem Bistro in Manhattan, KS, almost exactly 4 years prior to their wedding date. Daniel popped the question at on 80’s party on New Year’s Eve. Mary had wanted to get married before 2019, and Daniel did just that in the final seconds of 2018!

We love the romantic rose hues of the bridesmaids’ florals and dresses. From lace, off-the-shoulder, and pleating, each bridesmaids’ dress was unique in style adding texture to the look of the wedding party. Mary’s bridal dress was had a lace top that trickled into the tulle skirt and. An off-white tulle veil and a touch of flowers helped bring the entire bridal look together. The groomsmen wore dark ties and grey suits, while the groom contrasted with a solid white tie and a darker gray suit.
The elegant elements of the dressed up The Venue at Willow Creek perfectly! The same rose and red hues of the florals were seen on the top of the wedding cake and incorporated into the centerpieces, while most of the other decor remained white and neutral.
Along with Felicia of Complete Weddings + Events playing tunes for guests to dance to that evening, there were board games provided for guests to take a break from dancing. Despite other activities offered, many interactive tunes keep the dance floor filled like “Footloose”, “Wobble” and the “Cupid Shuffle.”
