Madison + Van’s Wedding at Madrid Theatre
Some weddings feel like they were made for the venue, and that’s exactly how Madison and Van’s day felt. Their Wedding at Madrid Theatre in Kansas City was filled with thoughtful details, a few laughs, and plenty of love shared between two people who just make sense together.
The Attire
Madison wore a long, lace ball gown that fit the vibe of the venue perfectly. Her dress had beautiful detailing that paired well with the soft, romantic colors throughout the day. The bridesmaids each wore a light blue dress in different styles, which gave the group a fresh and coordinated look. Van wore a classic black tuxedo and black tie. His groomsmen stood beside him in gray tuxes and light blue ties, each one wearing white boutonnieres with subtle blue touches that tied in with the bridesmaids’ bouquets.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place right on the stage of the Madrid Theatre, which gave it an intimate yet dramatic feel. The entire wedding party stood up there with Madison and Van while guests were seated in chairs adorned with light blue bows that added a pop of color to the room. At the front stood a floral altar made with white and blue blooms mixed with greenery.
One of the biggest smiles from the crowd came when the flower men made their way down the aisle tossing petals from fanny packs. It was a fun twist that got everyone laughing.
The Venue
Located just minutes from Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza, the Madrid Theatre was the perfect spot for Madison and Van’s day. The space offered plenty of room for guests and made the transition from ceremony to reception simple.
Their vendor team included DJ Yulie, photographer Serenity, and videographer Joshua from Complete Weddings + Events. Planning was handled by Monica Moseley. Everyone worked together to help bring the day to life exactly as planned.
