Dueling Weddings: May Edition
When two weddings happen in the same city around the same time, it’s fun to see just how different and equally beautiful they can be. We’re spotlighting two weddings that both took place in May, each with a completely distinct personality. One embraced soft, airy elegance with clean whites and muted linens. The other leaned into bold contrast, pairing deep, rich tones with glittering details throughout. Scroll through and see which style feels most like you.
Wedding Party Style
Both brides chose classic white gowns with sweetheart necklines, but that’s where the similarities ended. The first bride went with delicate lace detailing for a romantic, timeless feel, while her bridesmaids carried the softness forward in dusty mauve dresses with fresh floral bouquets. The second bride added drama with a sparkle-topped bodice and a flowing tulle skirt, and her bridesmaids matched the mood in deep navy. The groomsmen on each side mirrored their bride’s palette, lighter tones for the first wedding and sharp darker accents for the second, with both grooms finishing the look in crisp white ties.

Ceremony & Reception Venues
Emily and Philip had their ceremony and reception in the same location, a clean, modern museum. Samantha and Tony’s ceremony was at a grand church, which provided an intricate, beautiful background for their ceremony. They switched it up for their reception held at an urban venue, where they added their own festive details!

Wedding Details & Decor
The details are where each wedding’s personality really came through. The first wedding leaned feminine and delicate, with soft pink accents, wispy textures, and understated touches that felt effortlessly put together. The second wedding brought more structure and edge, with navy details anchoring the space and pops of sparkle woven throughout to keep things festive. Both approaches worked beautifully because they were intentional and consistent from ceremony to reception.

Wedding Cake
Dessert time, and both couples delivered. Each went with a three-tiered white cake but styled them completely differently. The first featured pink and white roses cascading down the tiers for a garden-fresh look, while the second topped theirs with a custom glitter cake topper that tied perfectly into the wedding’s sparkle theme. The textures surrounding each cake, a soft billowy backdrop for one and a rich table linen for the other, made each display feel curated and intentional.
