Do you stay for the entire event?

They’ll confirm arrival times, direct vendors to the correct locations, ensure they follow the agreed-upon schedule, and handle any hiccups that may arise. This allows you, your wedding party, and your family to relax and focus on celebrating.

What does a wedding coordinator do?

A wedding coordinator from COMPLETE weddings + events ensures that all the moving parts of your big day come together seamlessly. They oversee the timeline, manage vendor arrivals and setup, cue important moments like the ceremony processional and reception speeches, and handle any last-minute issues so you don’t have to. How far in advance can I start speaking to my coordinator?

You can start speaking with your coordinator as soon as your event is officially booked. We encourage early communication so we can understand your vision, answer any questions, and help guide you through the planning process.

Does my coordinator only help me on the day of?

No!  Your coordinator is available to help well before the day of your event. They’re here to assist with planning details, answer questions, and guide you through the timeline to ensure everything is well-prepared in advance.

On the day of, your coordinator will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly, but their support starts much earlier to help reduce stress and ensure you’re fully confident going into your big day.

Can you help me find a vendor?

Absolutely! We’re happy to help you find trusted vendors for your event. Whether you’re looking for a florist, makeup artist, caterer, or any other service, we can recommend professionals we’ve worked with and know will deliver great results.

Just let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll point you in the right direction—or even reach out on your behalf if needed. Our goal is to make the planning process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

What do you set up on the day of?

As a coordinator, I help set up all the key elements needed to ensure your day runs smoothly. This can include arranging ceremony programs, place cards, signage, guest books, and any décor items you’ve provided, such as candles, table numbers, or welcome displays.

I also coordinate with your vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page, keep the timeline on track, and manage the flow of the day—from the ceremony lineup to the grand entrance, speeches, and special dances. My goal is to handle all the behind-the-scenes details so you can relax and fully enjoy your celebration.

Can I choose the songs that are going to be used in the video?

Yes, you’re welcome to choose the songs for your video from our library of royalty-free music. We want the soundtrack to reflect your style and the mood of your day, so you’re encouraged to be part of that creative process.

If you prefer, we can also select royalty-free music that fits the tone and pacing of your film. Either way, we’ll ensure the final edit feels cohesive, emotional, and personalized just for you.

How long is my video going to be?

The length of your final video can vary, as it largely depends on what’s captured throughout your day. Every wedding is unique, and factors like the schedule, number of events, and overall energy all play a role in shaping the final film.

Instead of aiming for a specific runtime, we focus on creating a video that tells the full story of your day in the most meaningful and engaging way possible. Whether it ends up being shorter or longer, our goal is to deliver a film that feels complete and true to your experience.

Do the groom and officiant get mic’d up for the ceremony?

Yes, both the groom and officiant are mic’d up for the ceremony.  Audio plays a crucial role in the overall quality and emotional impact of your video, so we take every step to ensure it’s captured clearly.

In addition to mics on the groom and officiant, we often use multiple audio sources to back up and enhance the sound. This helps us create a seamless and professional final product where your vows, speeches, and meaningful moments are heard just as beautifully as they’re seen.

How long does it take to get my video?

We have a team of talented editors who each handle multiple projects at a time, usually with 3 to 10 weddings in the editing queue.

The turnaround time for your edited video is typically up to 90 business days, though we often deliver sooner when possible.

Our goal is to create a film that truly reflects the emotion, story, and unique moments of your day. While we appreciate your patience, this timeline allows us to give your video the attention and quality it deserves, so it’s something you’ll cherish for years to come.

Why do I need so much time allotted for getting ready or first look if I only want a few pictures?

Getting ready and first look moments often require more time because, unlike the rest of the day where we capture events naturally as they unfold, these moments are typically staged to ensure everything looks perfect. This involves positioning, adjusting lighting, coordinating with other vendors, and sometimes repeating actions to get the best shot.

Even if you only want a few final photos from these moments, the process to create those few standout images takes time and care. Allowing extra time ensures we’re not rushed and can capture these special moments beautifully and stress-free.

How many photos will I get?

The exact number of photos can vary depending on the flow of your event, the number of guests, and the moments captured throughout the day. However, a good estimate is that you’ll receive at least 100 edited photos per hour of coverage.

For example, if you book a 6-hour photography package, you can expect a minimum of 600 final images. We always aim to deliver as many high-quality photos as possible while focusing on storytelling, emotion, and the key moments that matter most.

Are my photos edited?

Yes, all of your photos are professionally edited to ensure they look their best. We adjust for brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, and overall color balance to create vibrant, polished images that reflect the true feel of your day.

Our goal is to deliver a natural yet refined look that highlights the beauty of each moment.

How long does it take to get my images back?

You can expect to receive your final edited images within approximately 30 business days after your event. This timeframe allows us to carefully review, edit, and enhance each photo to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail.

If your package includes a sneak peek or preview gallery, you may receive a small selection of highlight images sooner to enjoy and share.

Do I have enough time reserved?

Although each event is uniquely different, below are the general times it takes for each specific part of your day.

  • Getting Ready – minimum of 1 hour
  • First Look pics – 30 – 60 minutes
  • Bridal Party pics – 60 minutes
  • Ceremony – Anywhere from 15 minutes to 1+ hours, (verify with your officiant).
  • Cocktail Hour – Usually an 1 hour
  • Reception – Depending on your venue, this can be 2- 5 hours.
Do you provide projectors and screens for AV presentations?

Yes – We provide projectors and screens for your AV presentations! Alongside these, we offer a variety of equipment including TVs, silent generators, and microphones. You can rent items separately or in a convenient package. Plus, our on-site technical support ensures seamless setup and operation, giving you peace of mind.

 

What are common Add-ons?

Our most popular add-ons are Cold Sparks, Up Lights, Monograms, and Photo Booths.

These enhancements not only create memorable moments but also personalize the experience for guests, transforming an ordinary gathering into an extraordinary celebration. For instance, Up Lights can dramatically alter the atmosphere, casting a warm glow that invites conversation and joy, while Cold Sparks add a touch of magic during special moments like the first dance or cake cutting. Monograms provide a unique branding opportunity, allowing you to showcase your style or company logo, making the event distinctly yours. Lastly, a Photo Booth serves as a fun interactive element, capturing candid memories that guests can take home, ensuring the event lingers in their minds long after it concludes. Will you play appropriate or clean music?

Yes! Our music is radio friendly. You won’t have to worry about cussing at your event if you book our DJs in Fort Lauderdale.

How involved are you in helping us select music?

We certainly can assist you with song suggestions. In fact, our website includes suggestions for many special dances from timeless traditional songs up to more current popular ones.

What kind of music do you have in your collection?

We have a large variety of music for your enjoyment. From current hits, all the way back to the 40’s as well as Latin and Haitian music.

What is an icebreaker?

Icebreakers are dances to encourage involvement. A few examples are the The Wobble and Cha Cha Slide to the Conga Line.  Some are more engaging then others, but all are fun and exciting without the DJ becoming the focus of the event.

What if they get sick?

Unlike many companies, COMPLETE weddings +events is a full‐time company with back‐up staff. In the event someone is sick, or in an accident, we can assign trained and prepared staff to perform with little or no interruption to you and your guests.

How will the staff be dressed?

Our typical uniform for a formal reception for the DJ is a suit. The photographer and videographer are in black slacks and a black dress shirt.  Jeans or shorts are never in our dress code.

Do you have back‐up equipment?

Yes, we do. We have spare equipment and on‐call staff each weekend for your peace of mind.

Do you have a bilingual staff?

Yes – We have staff that speak perfect English and Perfect Spanish.

Will my any of your staff be drinking or smoking?

No – Our company policy specifically prohibits any member of our team from drinking and smoking at events.

Do I need to feed the staff?

Yes – Although you might have the DJ for 4 hours, they have spent time setting up and breaking down for your event.  Therefore, all of our staff will require that you provide a meal for them.

Do your vendors get tips?

If you feel they did a good job, it is customary to tip them $100 – $250 however, the amount is totally up to you. We are there to please you. At any time during the event when you need something ‐ just ask.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes – In fact, your facility should already have a copy of your insurance certificate.  If not, we can definitely provide a copy to them.

When do I need to pay my balance?

Your balance is due 45 days prior to the date of your event. You can simply mail a check or call the office and give your credit card number over the phone.

What methods of payment do you accept?

As with any good business, we make it very easy to pay us ☺.  We accept almost any method of payment including personal checks, Zelle, money orders, cash, Visa, MasterCard.

Do I need to sign an agreement?

Yes – For the benefit of both parties, we require a signed agreement to reserve our services. As you review our Entertainment Agreement, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

How do I reserve your services?

We work with a non-refundable $250 booking fee per service. The deposit is a down‐payment and the balance is not due until 45 days prior prior to the date of your event.  Simply sign and return the entertainment agreement with your deposit to reserve your date.

How far in advance should I book COMPLETE?

Our availability is limited. We cannot tentatively hold dates because we are first come, first serve.  Most events get booked 9-13 months in advance.  I encourage you to secure your date with a deposit as soon as possible.
