John and Phillip realize it could be challenging to travel to Fort Lauderdale. Whatever the reason, we’d love it if you could still find time to virtually join us as we exchange vows. A secure link will be sent as we approach the wedding day.

Will there be a wedding party?
Yes! Everyone is part of our wedding party. But, for those traditionalists who will be looking for bridesmaids and groomsmen, we won’t have that.
Who is officiating at the wedding?
We are so grateful that our dear friend – the one and only Darren Sweeney who just happens to be the best meteorologist for the NBC Affiliate in Hartford, CT has agreed to officiate our exchange of vows.
What is the attire for the wedding?
John and Phillip are hoping all their guests will dress comfortably in their best “beach casual” or similar type attire. In general, lightweight fabrics and fun accessories. Come comfortable but pretend your mom will judge what you are wearing! LOL NOTE: The entire event is being held inside the penthouse suite overlooking the world-famous Fort Lauderdale Beach. (without the sand, wind, or humidity!)
Can I bring a guest to the in-person event?
We are so lucky to have so many biological and chosen family members that want to support us, However our venue has a capacity limit so our guest list is limited to invited guests only. If you know someone else who would like to experience the ceremony virtually, please share the virtual link when it is posted (approx a week ahead)
Are children invited to the wedding?
While we are thrilled you’d want your children to experience true love between two men, unfortunately the wedding venue space is limited and the only children that will be present are John’s Godchildren and nieces/nephews. For our Post-Wedding Celebration at our condo on Sunday 4/21/24 all family members will be welcome!
If I’m visiting Fort Lauderdale specifically for the wedding, will there be time to chill with the grooms?
Absolutely! A special Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi will be available for out-of-town guests to spend a few hours with the grooms on Friday late afternoon/early evening. Details will be finalized after 2/29 RSVP date.
If I’m staying at a hotel or local AirBnB, will we get a chance to say goodbye to the grooms before we leave town?
We’ve got all our out of town guests covered! Before you head out to the airport or to your own excursions to explore Fort Lauderdale, the grooms will be hosting Post Wedding Brunch at their condo building. Bring your breakfast appetite and a swimsuit to enjoy the heated pool and event room overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway!
Out of Towners Meet & Greet/Reunion!
For all our out of town guests, we are planning a meet-and-greet on Friday evening! Final details will be shared as it gets closer (weather and RSVP contingent). But, the plan is to meet at 5:30pm for a boat ride up the Intracoastal with lite bites, beer, wine, and soft drinks. It’s a great time to watch the sunset and see some of Fort Lauderdale’s sites on the water. Attire: comfortable boating shoes and outfits.
Post-Wedding Brunch for Those Traveling
On Sunday John and Phillip will host a post-wedding brunch starting at 11:30am on the pool deck overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Bring your swimsuits and sunscreen while sipping some bubbly and enjoying some brunch fare. Our newly renovated condo will be available to drop luggage or freshen up before your departure or a day of sightseeing! For those who wish to watch Phillip play his favorite sport, Pickleball, his team will be in the final tournament on Sunday at 1:30pm.
