Rich brings decades of photography experience to the Complete Denver team. Before making the move from our Indianapolis franchise, he spent 24 years as a photojournalist with the Indianapolis Star. His career covered everything from editorial and fashion to sports photography.

Rich began photographing weddings in the late ’90s after friends and coworkers started asking him to capture their days. Those first weddings quickly turned into referrals, and in 2007, he left the newspaper to pursue photography full-time. More than 1,000 events later, he still loves the energy and unpredictability of a wedding day.

His photojournalistic approach allows the day to unfold naturally. For portraits, Rich steps in with guidance when needed. He starts with great light and a strong backdrop, then helps couples move through poses that feel comfortable and natural. The result is a mix of classic portraits, creative images, and genuine moments.

One of Rich’s favorite parts of the day comes right after the ceremony. He loves capturing the excitement during the recessional, when the nerves are gone and those just-married reactions take over.

No matter the wedding, Rich makes sure every couple walks away with portraits worthy of a frame. He balances those classic must-have photos with opportunities to get creative and make something unexpected.
