Michaila has been part of the Complete Weddings + Events team for three years, starting out running our photo booth and now working as one of our talented wedding coordinators. She first discovered her love for events while working in catering during college. What began as a side job quickly turned into a full-blown passion for helping bring celebrations to life.
With nearly a decade of experience in the event world, she now spends her weekends making sure couples feel calm, confident, and taken care of. Her favorite part of the job is being that steady, behind-the-scenes presence, turning stress into solutions and watching big dreams come together. She’s also the one fluffing your dress before you walk down the aisle or sharing a quiet, grounding moment before all the excitement begins.
When she’s not coordinating weddings, you’ll likely find her hiking with friends, camping, playing volleyball, or crafting embroidered denim jackets. She’s a proud plant mom, an Arizona native, and a board game lover who just might invite you over for game night after your big day. And yes, if “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” comes on, you will catch her singing every word.
When it comes to my style, I think of myself as a duck. Smooth and calm on the surface, but paddling with swift precision underneath. I am very hands on with decor set up (let’s bring that pinterest board to life) and table set ups (in comes the 7 years of catering), while allowing each vendor their space to effectively and creatively execute their plan. I consider myself personable, friendly, and flexible, and have met some of my best friends through this industry. Service and personal touches are top of mind because I love creating unforgettable moments that go beyond expectations. Capturing behind the scenes moments is a specialty I provide, and I basically just want to be your go to person for all of the chaos so you can enjoy yourself!
I tell them nothing has to be cookie cutter, let’s curate this day to exactly what you want and what makes you the most comfortable. And to soak up the special season of engagement, don’t rush it or let it overwhelm you because it’s meant to be a beautiful process of celebrating your love and bringing your family and a friends together.
In very Colorado fashion, we jumped into the Colorado River with the Bride and Groom at the end of their reception – dress and all! Mind you, this was after they paraglided in to their ceremony!
