Why did you decide to become a photographer?
I fell in love with photography when I went to college for photoshop. I have always thought that technology is insanely cool, and I am incredibly passionate about learning all facets of my equipment. Because I needed content to manipulate within photoshop, I picked up photography. The entire point of photoshop is to create your DREAM images, and that is where I excel. My goal is to capture and create your ideal images for every couple.
What is your favorite memory from an event you’ve shot?
The very first wedding that I ever shot – I loved getting home and seeing the magic that I had just captured! My favorite feeling is going through a gallery after the wedding has ended and seeing the tac sharp images that will make my couples swoon for years to come.
What makes you or your work unique / stand out?
It has been said about me that I am like your cool, calm and collected big brother. I am highly experienced, and there is just about nothing that I haven’t seen. I know that photographers set the tone for the day. In times of chaos, I will reassure you that everything is going to plan and hiccups in the day are not only totally normal, but part of the memories being made. My goal is at the end of the night, you feel as if your best friend just photographed your wedding.
What is your favorite part of the night?
My favorite part of the night is two fold, when the bride and groom first lock eyes whether that is during a first look or walking down the isle; I love capturing the raw emotions. Additionally, I love the romance of the first dance. One of the few times throughout the day that you and your spouse get to have a romantic, special moment full of love.
List one fun fact about you most people do not know:
I have been a photographer for so long that I started off on film cameras, and not because it was cool! That was all I had!
