Chelsey grew up in the Denham Springs area, where her passion for photography first sparked at 16 when she became friends with a photographer she admired. That inspiration stayed with her, and later in life when she was dating her future husband, he asked what she wanted for her birthday, she knew the answer right away—a camera.

Her journey into wedding photography took a few twists and turns. In 2017, she was part of a wedding where she met a photographer and had the opportunity to shadow him. However, life took her in a different direction and she focused on her family and she stepped away from weddings for a time. But photography always called her back. Later, she had the chance to learn from a well-known photographer—one we are also friends with—who taught her everything about approaching a wedding day with confidence, skill, and heart.

For Chelsey, being a wedding photographer is about more than just taking pictures. She loves getting to know couples, building relationships, and making sure they feel safe, calm, and supported. Being part of several communities, including her church, she brings a sense of warmth and reliability to every wedding day. It’s not just a job for her—it’s a calling.

Chelsey actually grew up around our own Dakotah, and he was eager for her to join our team. When she did, we instantly clicked with her warm personality and sharp sense of humor. She’s been an incredible addition, bringing not only talent but also a deep care for the couples she works with.

One of her most memorable moments as a wedding photographer was receiving a heartfelt message from a bride after the wedding, thanking her for being part of the entire journey—from proposal to engagements, bridals, and the big day. That message reinforced just how meaningful her role truly is.
