Here's what Ryan had to say in his DJ interview:

I would describe my DJ personality as laid-back, friendly, and fun. I want to keep the focus on the couple being the main attraction for the night and I just focus on creating the perfect playlist for everybody but still making sure that everyone has a good night!

A few years ago I got to DJ my sister‘s wedding a few years back and that was a blast being a groomsman and a DJ. It was very chaotic but a lot of fun to run around about being a DJ.

My favorite thing about being a DJ is when I nail that perfect song for the crowd. I know it sounds really cheesy, but I when I play that one song and the crowd cheers and I just know I’ve nailed it. That’s just my favorite feeling.

I think my ability to read a crowd and adapt to multiple situations is what really makes me stand out as a DJ. Whether it’s last-minute changes or surprises for the couple at the event, I’m able to adapt to those changes very swiftly.

My favorite part of the night is definitely the party time of the night. Once we get past all of the “wedding business” and really get all of the crowd on the dance floor and having a good time.

I think my favorite way to pack the dance floor is to kind of trick the guys out there. I’ll play a slow song to get a couples out and then immediately play a line dance and then at that point they are there, so they just kind of stay for the line dance and then you’ve got them out there.

I just kind of stumbled into being a DJ when I was in college and just kind of needed a weekend job. I was a music major so I didn’t have a lot of time during the week and it just kind of worked out to be on just Saturdays at first and then nine years later it’s grown and I’ve really come to love the job.

A fun fact about me is that I have a Bachelor’s Degree in music composition and can play 15 different instruments; including the saxophone, the piano, the guitar, the upright bass, the trumpet, the trombone, the tuba, the clarinet…  haha, that’s all I can think of right now!
