Hi I’m RJ! I started DJ’ing in Wichita, KS in 2013 while I was still in college. I now work as a biomedical engineer during the week but couldn’t give up the DJ life after grad school, so I continue to spend weekends partying it up with new brides and grooms! I love to travel, cook, play piano, and workout when I’m not hanging with friends and coworkers at breweries/distilleries/wineries.
Favorite thing about being a DJ:
Getting to see people on the best days of their lives over and over and over again.
Favorite part of the night:
I realized a couple of years ago that one of my favorite parts of the wedding is the Father/Daughter dance because I imagine myself in 20-something years, dancing with a daughter of my own on her wedding night. Even though I don’t yet have any kids of my own, the F/D dance gives me a sort of nostalgia for something that hasn’t happened yet, but which I desperately want to have someday.

Why did you become a DJ?:
It sort of happened by accident, but I’m so glad it did! My roommate at the time thought I would be a good fit so he introduced me to his boss at the Complete franchise in Wichita.

I’ve been to 17 different countries!
