Why did you decide to become a photographer?

My father had a huge influence on me. He has been shooting photos for as long as I can remember. It’s so rewarding to capture moments in time to tell a story.

What is your favorite memory from an event you’ve photographed?

The best memories I have are the smiles and happiness I see. Not just the bride and groom, but from the family and friends as well.

What is your favorite thing about being a photographer?

As a photographer, you learn to look at the world a little differently. You are looking for compositions and light in all situations and you start to see things you would have never noticed before.

What makes you stand out?

I try to look for moments that may be a bit more candid and that draw out emotion and tell a story.

What is your favorite part of the event?

The reception is always a highlight for me. The stiffness goes away and people let their hair down and relax.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

In my younger years I studied under the artist Amado Pena Jr. I hope to bring some of this knowledge to my photography.
