What’s an awesome moment you always make sure to capture at a wedding?
It depends on the wedding because I’m always spotting different ones! In general, I do my best to keep my eyes open for interactions between guests that are warm and make beautiful memories.
Do you have a favorite moment from your own wedding or a wedding you’ve attended?
One of my favorite stories to tell is of a time when the brides ring was accidentally lost during the ceremony! The couple were standing atop a raised wooden platform with slats in it, and upon trying to put the ring on his bride, the groom accidentally dropped it, landing the ring underneath the platform! A few guests got up from their seats to help find it, but then suddenly from behind the audience, the day-of-coordinator came running down the aisle and DOVE underneath the deck. All you could see were her heels, sticking out like the wicked witch of the east underneath Dorothy’s house. She searched and struggled and after not too long, she shouted “I GOT IT!” and held up the ring! Everyone cheered and celebrated, a rewarding moment unifying everyone in relief.
What’s one unexpected item you always keep in your camera bag?
A picture from my wedding, to remind myself how it felt to experience everything from the brides perspective. 🩷
What’s one fun fact people are surprised to learn about you?
After graduating college, I lived abroad in Warsaw, Poland and gave night club and bar crawl tours to travelers.
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend in Spokane when you’re not filming weddings?
Thrifting, crafting, paddle boarding, snuggling my cats, and attending events downtown with my husband and daughter.
What do most couples say about you after working with you?
That I ease nerves and made them feel comfortable and confident!
