I am very technically thorough. I am known to go to great lengths to make sure what we discussed gets executed at every event.
The toasts. As a public speaker in another profession of mine, I find it courageous for folks with usually very little public speaking experience to put themselves out there for the ones they care about.
Polka. My wife and I are fourth/fifth generation South Omaha Polish/Slavic people. It’s not a party unless there’s a polka band and an older relative sprinkling salt on the dance floor.
I come from a big family to where it seemed I was going to an older cousin’s wedding every other weekend when I was a kid. Now with family older and more dispersed, weddings don’t pop up much anymore. As a DJ, I get to connect to that part of my life again and play a role in someone else’s fond memories.
I have been a part of the local music scene in Omaha for over 20 years. I have streaming music on Spotify from that time.
