Whether you are the maid of honor, mom of the bride, or a friend helping out to plan a bridal shower, it can be challenging to know where to even begin! We’ve gathered the best tips to help make it easy for you to plan an important part of the bride’s wedding process.
Follow These 5 Steps To Plan The Perfect Bridal Shower:
1. First Things First: Pick out a Date and Location!
Start by asking the bride what dates she has open anywhere from 4-6 weeks prior to her wedding. Gather a list of dates, and start a group chats with all of the important women in her life (bridesmaids, mothers from both sides, family, etc.)
Let the group know some tentative dates you are planning for and solidify the date once you find one that works best for everyone! Once your date is set, you can start working on finding a location! You can always look at smaller and intimate venue spaces or even host at someone’s residence if they’re willing to do that!
2. Pick Out Your Theme!
One of the most fun parts of getting to plan the bridal shower is getting to pick out the theme! 🙂 Some of our favorites to see are Brunches, Glitter and Glitz, Tea Parties, and Paris Romance!

3. Put Together Your Guest List
Putting together a guest list can be hard when trying to decide who all gets invited! We recommend starting with your bridesmaids and family members, then add in your close friends/family! Keep in mind the capacity of the location of the shower. You will want to keep the guest list relatively small, but remember: It’s the bride’s special day so plan accordingly!! 🙂
4. Invitations!
The next thing you should be doing is sending out invitations! We’ve seen people make their own invites send out e-invites or order templates! We recommend checking out Etsy for some easy templates to download and choose from: Bridal Shower Invites
Send out the invitations about 2 months from the wedding date. You don’t want to send them along with other invitations for events such as the bachelorette party and wedding itself! You want the attendees to receive the invite at good timing so they don’t forget about the upcoming shower!
5. Entertainment
Pick out some fun games to play to entertain the guests! There are so many fun bridal shower-themed games you can play! Here is another list of games to check out: Bridal Shower Games
Remember to have fun while planning! The bride will appreciate any and all effort made to make her feel special and loved! Happy planning and cheers!
