The Elopement
Emily and Mark started their forever with an intimate elopement in March at Zion National Park. Surrounded by immediate family, they exchanged vows in breathtaking scenery, keeping their ceremony simple and personal. Fast forward to October, they hosted a larger reception in Omaha to celebrate with extended family and friends. The reception blended their adventurous spirit with traditional wedding moments, creating a meaningful gathering for everyone.
The Attire
Emily and Mark kept it true to their elopement by wearing the same outfits on their reception day. Emily stunned in her sweetheart neckline mermaid dress with intricate lace detailing. Her curled hair, adorned with pearls, added an elegant touch. Mark wore a deep green suit paired with a floral-pattern tie and polished brown shoes. Bridesmaids matched the vibe in velvet green dresses, while groomsmen kept it relaxed yet stylish with white shirts, khaki pants, and brown shoes.
The Details
Every detail at Emily and Mark’s reception was carefully chosen to reflect their personalities and love story. The florals featured a mix of white blooms, touches of orange, baby’s breath, and greenery for a natural, warm feel. A mirror seating chart added a modern yet elegant touch. Guests adored the popcorn bag favors, which featured a playful picture of their dog, Mr. Chips.

Built in 1887, the venue boasts original wood floors, exposed brick walls, and towering wooden pillars. It’s full of character yet versatile enough for any couple’s style. The Reception
The reception kicked off with lively wedding party entrances, followed by a sweet cake-cutting moment featuring a small cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. The cake topper, inspired by their love of national parks, tied in beautifully with their story. Cornhusker Beverage served drinks for the evening, keeping guests refreshed and the celebration going.
