The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the stunning Spruce Hill venue. Nestled amidst golden rolling plains and a specially crafted lush “enchanted trail,” this new location offers a serene and picturesque backdrop for any wedding. With its modern design and open and elegant interiors, Spruce Hill seamlessly blends rural beauty with sophisticated charm, making it a perfect choice for couples looking to create a memorable experience. The expansive outdoor spaces were ideal for the ceremony space, allowing guests to enjoy the breathtaking surroundings while celebrating the couple’s love. Spruce Hill is just under an hour from the Twin Cities – because of its distance from the cities, this venue offers a spectacular showing of stars at night, which was a beautiful bonus to a memorable evening.
The couple has been together for four wonderful years, and their connection and sincerity was evident in every detail of the celebration. From planning a “first touch” with hand-written vow readings (in lieu of a “first look”), a dedication fathers and daughters dance in remembrance of her dad, and a bouquet “toss” to her mom as tribute.
The ceremony was beyond heartfelt and emotional. Julias brother and their mother walked Julia down the aisle, with Ian waiting until her entrance to see her for the first time. Julia’s dad, who passed unexpectedly this year was most definitely present in spirit and was credited with bringing the unseasonably balmy summer weather for the late September celebration. A sweater of his, a framed photo, and dedication held his place in the front row next to his daughter.
One highlight of the reception was the stunning charcuterie board provided by Nerstrand Meats & Catering. It was a delicious centerpiece that allowed guests to mingle and enjoy a variety of gourmet treats throughout the evening.
As Julia and Ian danced the night away, it was clear that their journey together was just beginning. We couldn’t be happier for them and wish them a lifetime filled with love, adventure, and joy.
