Sami + Connor’s Wedding in Downtown Minneapolis
Sami and Connor’s wedding day in downtown St. Paul was modern, personal, and thoughtfully planned. Set at the DoubleTree St. Paul Downtown, the entire day flowed naturally from start to finish.
Engagement Photos
Before their wedding, Sami and Connor had their engagement photos taken downtown with Complete Weddings + Events. The city streets and buildings made a great backdrop, giving their photos a modern and relaxed look. They spent the afternoon walking around, laughing, and just being themselves. It was a fun way to celebrate their engagement and get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.
The Wedding Party
The day began with the girls getting ready together, sipping champagne and helping each other with the final details. All the bridesmaids wore long black dresses, which brought a clean and cohesive look. Sami wore a strapless white dress that stood out in the best way.
The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with traditional ties. Connor matched their look but went with a bow tie instead, a small change that set him apart without overdoing it.
The Ceremony
Before walking down the aisle, the couple and their wedding party took photos at the Minnesota State Capitol. The large stone steps and open space added a dramatic, simple backdrop.
Inside the Grand Atrium, the ceremony setup included white drapery and white uplighting provided by Complete Weddings + Events. Every detail reflected their black and white color scheme, keeping everything consistent without feeling too formal.
The Reception
The reception took place in the same Grand Atrium. With its high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the room gave guests plenty of space to relax and enjoy the evening.
White drapery and fairy lighting added a soft, romantic atmosphere to the space. Guests gathered for dinner, conversation, and dancing, all in one open area that made the event feel connected.
Music by Complete Weddings + Events kept people moving throughout the night. From the first dance to the last song, the energy stayed steady and fun.
