On a midsummer evening, love was in the air. Micki + Riley were finally tying the knot! After months on end of planning and making sure each detail came together flawlessly, the day had finally come. It was time to celebrate the love the bride and groom shared. By the end of the night, their souls would be tied for eternity.
Attire
When it came to the bride’s look, Micki chose a perfect combination of hair, makeup, and of course, the dress to create a stunning bride.
The Bride
Micki wore an updo for her hair. Tousled curls were held together by a floral hair clip. Delicate pieces of curled hair were left out to frame her face. For earrings, she wore earrings that had droplets of crystals that formed the shape of a delicate leaf. When it came to makeup, Micki went for neutral tones to flatter her skin tone. A brown smokey eye, paired with a mauve matte lip. All creating a timeless look for the bride.
Dress
From head to toe, Micki left wedding guests speechless. The dress she wore was the perfect combination of silk and lace. It was shaped in a trumpet style. This meant that the dress was fitted on her body, but then gradually cascaded out into it’s trail. The straps of the dress were made of mesh material that met together in the middle of her back. The lace that covered her bodice in the front, also met at the bottom of the keyhole created in the back of the dress. The lace draped over the silk skirt of the dress. Finally leading down to her train, that was also trimmed by lace. All of these details combined into a stunning dress for the lady of the hour.
Bridesmaids + Groomsmen
Bridesmaids are the ones that are there for the bride not just on her wedding day, but for life. To show their unity in being there for Micki, they wore varying shades of neutrals. All of the dresses had different shapes and styles to flatter each of the bridesmaids throughout the night. Some were a consistent texture throughout, some had sequins, and some had lace. When they were standing next to each other, it was clear that the bridesmaids were there for the same reason, but the individuality was still able to be expressed.
The groomsmen also played their part in the wedding day in being there for the groom. Riley’s groomsmen all wore matching grey suits and ties. They paired they suits with white button down shirts and vests. Bringing the complete look together with a brown leather shoes.
Decorations
The actual wedding day was one to remember for each guest in attendance. The ceremony took place at the Sutton Community Senior Center. There were hints of the neutrals, gold, and a splash of greenery all around. These were best seen in the bouquets the bride and bridesmaids held. The bouquets contained palm leaves, dry plants, white daisies, and greenery throughout. That same greenery was on the head table as a runner!
Reception
Speaking of the head table, let’s talk about the reception! The reception was a blast! It was a small intimate reception held at the Allegro Wolf Art Center. Guests sat down as the bride and groom shared their first dance as a married couple. The couple gazed into each other’s eyes as they thought about what the future held for them. Here they were sharing their amazing new beginning!
